Dr Melouk and Ariel, his PA, are always compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. They ask questions, actually listen, answer my questions and ensure I understand. I had a suprapubic catheter placed a year ago at another urology clinic as a result of an overwhelming neurological condition. Unfortunately, I experienced an extremely rare complication caused by the care of my former urologist. Although Colorado Urology is not part of a network of skilled doctors treating my neurological conditions, the best thing I did for myself was switching my urology care here. Ariel is always understanding and patient with me. I really hate having a catheter, four week appointments and impromptu visits. Yet, it’s very reassuring to know either of them will make an appointment available for me within one to two days to assess and intervene when necessary for issues that sometimes arise unexpectedly. The last time I had such a high standard of care was for an unrelated cancer. I trust them both to ensure my health. I definitely couldn’t say that before changing to Colorado Urology. Thank you Dr Melouk and Ariel.

If I could I would rate Dr. Melouk well above five stars. We had a uniquely positive experience with Dr. Melouk during 7 yrs treatment for my bladder cancer. We tried using two or three alternative immunotherapy approaches to knocking out my bladder cancer. None worked. However Dr. Melouk worked with us and a bladder cancer research doctor at the University of Iowa to develop a Chemotherapy solution to my very difficult case. I have never previously had such a strongly positive experience with anyone else in the medical community. Dr. Melouk deserves a twice over 5 star review for not only his 5 star urological role in solving my cancer but also for taking on the incorporation of chemotherapy into his Urology practice. Thank you Dr. Melouk for the wonderful medical experience you brought to my unique bladder cancer case.

Absolutely horrible as the reviews states waiting for over an hour just very cold not very personal kind of person very rushy going over results ask some questions and ignores kind of push off you can tell that he does not really care at all just want to get as many appointments done as possible I will be seeing urologist that felt very unwelcome here

If you have urgent needs, go elsewhere. If you don't mind waiting weeks for treatment despite your pain and discomfort, this doctor will suffice. No doubt being overscheduled makes it difficult for any professional, but others urologists are able to give the appearance of caring. Cannot speak to his expertise, so it may be there is some skill distinguishing this urologist. Two visits are not sufficient to render an accurate judgment so keep this in mind as you read this review.

Made an appointment with Mr. Melouk. Earliest he could see me was 6 weeks out. 2 week before my appointment they called and said he would be out that whole week???? They could reschedule me another 6 weeks out!

This ‘person’ literally started throwing items in the room; I left.

He THREW items in the room; he actually did that. Walked out.

Uncaring doctor, incompetent staff. Staff could not get anything right. They called in orders for labs and x-rays to a hospital out of state. I asked for this to be corrected and they called in nothing at all. I filled out required pre-surgical forms during the Covid mess, when i could only see the Dr. via telemedicine, and was told I would have to personally drive the forms in and hand deliver them since they would not accept e-mails from patients. Ridiculous. After being pushed aside and delayed for 3 months for a large kidney stone, my symptoms became very serious. Despite numerous phone calls and pleas for help over the portal, I was told it was Melouk's day off, and he would contact me the next day. I was not offered help in any way, even though there were other urologists on staff. Finally the pain became so unbearable I had to go to the ER. I believe in medical terms this is called "patient abandonment." Melouk is very, very dangerous.

Dr. Melouk is a great doctor. He is in high demand. He is very thorough and explains how the procedures will go. I would highly recommend anyone to him.

Very competent and professional. Excellent surgeon. Yes, they are very busy and sometimes there is a long wait. People should realize the Dr. Melouk is on call at the hospital next door for emergency surgery. This causes appointments in his office to be delayed. He is in high demand.
