Dr. Schabaker was the best thing that came into my life in a very long time. I had been going to several Doctors that couldn't or wouldn't help me. Dr. Schabaker understood my pain and also my fear of opioids. I'm very thankful for his help and understanding. I feel like I have my life back.

Thanks to Dr. Schabacker I have my life back. I had been going to several different Doctors and they couldn't or wouldn't help me. He was very attentive, kind and thorough. Dr. Schabacker understood my pain and fear of opioids. I highly recommend Dr. Schabacker and his team.

Dr. Schabacker has been treating me for chronic pain resulting from an injury 25yrs ago. I wish he was practicing when it happened! Awesome Doctor, genuine in concerns and thorough. Explains the what and why each visit.

He never looked at my medical records, tests, MRI's, or any medical reports about my health conditions that have been causing pain or fact that it disabled me since 2001. Never looked at my treatment plan and combination of medications for multiple health issues including pain medications that I've been taking for over 12 years having a clean medical history and fact that I've been evaluated and approved for continuing treatment by the same entities conducting opioid use and it's investigation. All this doctor saw was what I take for pain one medication time released and other for breakthrough pain. Told me he wasn't going to take me as a new patient he didn't have the time and I was too much of a risk and a liability he was very rude to me a 60 yr old who's current doctor was retiring and he came recommended to me I waited 2 months to see, he treated me like I was nothing and he walked out of the exam room. Very unprofessional. Shame on him. No empathy. Pain doctor he is NOT.

I have been seeing Dr. Michael H. Schabacker for a little over 5 years and he has never lied to me nor has he ever let me down. I travel quite a bit with my job in the oil business and he has done his absolute best to accommodate all of my minor problems associated with things being tuff for me as far as not being able to know for sure where I will be on my appointment days and also has always worked with me on the days that I have to be somewhere on the day I am scheduled to fill my meds. This man in my eyes is a Saint. He asks me all of the right questions and listens to every thing that I am telling him. I would love someday to go out and have lunch with him and just listen to and talk to him. He is 100% on the patients side unless the patient messes up some how on his signed contract. He will not put up with any shenanigans what so ever as his job is always on the line. I would guess after reading some of these rating that the people who are complaining are the people who did not live up to their part of the contact. It is real simple, don't take meds or drugs that other Dr.s have prescribed to you. Be responsible with your meds and your life. He is the first pain Dr that I have ever met with that does not throw in a little guilt as believe it or not, he in a lot of ways feels the same guilt just because he is doing his job. He is a very fair and honest Dr. and if you act the same way tword him then you should not and will not have a problem with him. I would not want his day to day stress and I think that he does real fine handling it. He also has a whole bunch of empathy for his patients and goes to bat for you. very caring and understanding of the amount of pain that I was having. Is very willing to work with me in choosing a doctor that is closer in distance to me and able to do injections in my back to help with the pain not real thrilled with the telephone service. I tried four time to contact his office and it hung me up on all four calls. grrrr

At first I was impressed by Dr. Schabacker. I was promised a referral for a pain pump and it never happened. I saw Dr. Schabaker for more than a year and was prescribed pain meds that didn’t always work. I was in tears many times in his office and explained the pain. I was drug tested and had THC due to visiting a state where it’s legal. I was in pain and can’t take more pills so had no choice. I was cut off to withdraw and suffer in pain. I was accused of lying, never got the needed referral

Beware! You’ll think you found the right doctor at first. I was promised a referral for a pain pump. The pain meds prescribed to me for over a year weren’t working very well. I was in tears most visits with Dr Schabaker. I had to take a trip and can’t take extra pills so I ingested some THC infused foods to get through the agony, where it’s legal of course! I was drug tested and cut off like I was garbage. I was accused of lying, and once again the shame of being in chronic pain was overwhelming. It was 7:40 am and I couldn’t pee enough so as a back up I gave a saliva test. I was later accused of lying about not being able to pee. Also I have prescriptions for 2 other meds that can test positive for methamphetamine and benzodiazepines. I was accused of taking a different benzodiazepine than what I’m prescribed!! How can the doctor forget a referral that he said he would make? Makes me feel as if he didn’t believe me or it’s a set up for failure. I felt like just another number. The doctor should have some accountability if he’s not listening or following through with referrals for proper treatment. Obviously he’s never experienced agonizing pain himself or he wouldn’t have ignored me until I had no choice but to try and survive and use homeopathic options. Now I’m left to withdraw and suffer alone. I’ve been dealing with this for 24 years. I’m told pain management is all I have. How am I supposed to live by being thrown away like garbage? I was always honest with Dr Schabaker and I thought he was different. I found out the hard way that he isn’t. I’m broken hearted because I trusted Dr. Schabaker to take care of me. I don’t think he understands the impact he has in people who are suffering. Very sad.
