Nicole Swavely's Online Review Report Card

Saw her for pain in my knuckles. I didn't think she was listening to me. I told her that acetaminophen does nothing for me. 30 seconds later she said that I should take acetaminophen with the drug she was prescribing. I have hypertension. One of the primary side effects of the drug she prescribed is hypertension. I did not feel that she treated me as a person - only a patient and a chart. I will not be seeing her again.

I appreciate her care. I truly felt that she listened to my issues and addressed them thoroughly. In addition, I felt she was very effective in explaining arthritis and how to treat it. I wish I had recorded her words or would be able to read them in a brochure. It's very comforting to have a provider who is knowledgeable, articulate and compassionate.

I've been a patient of Dr Swavely since 2018. She is a wonderful doctor and an awesome person. She listens to her patients and shows true empathy. She was able to diagnose me based on her exam and my symptoms even though my labs were mostly normal. Whenever I'm having a flare up of my arthritis, her office is prompt in sending in extra prescriptions for me, even if I can't come in to be seen for an appointment. They all have been huge in bringing my life closer to normal.

She's Awful. I saw her in May of 2019. She said that my labs weren't super abnormal. I went to specialist for the next several months all the while my symptoms increasing. I went back in January 2020; she told me I was fins and to get a psych eval. I saw a more expererienced rheumatologist in Febuary. My labs were super abnormal had she pulled the ones specific to my diseases, yes plural. The worst part was how they handled me as a human. I asked for a 2nd opinion inside the practice, I was fired as a patient via certified mail. After I got my dignosis I wrote a follow up letter about what she missed and that people with chronic pain are high risk for many things including suicide when not blieved by medical professionals. I work in mental health, I wasn't making a threat. I then got a co-pay bill for 109 bucks. She spent less than 15 minutes to tell me I'm nuts and drug seeking. 5 hours of my wages for super poor care. not to mention the entire practice won't even speak to me!

This Doctor is a box checker only. I was treated immediately with methotrexate and prednisone with only the two standard inflammation markers being elevated. I was given an undifferentiated diagnosis after months and much testing. I was sick from the medication and my symptoms were not getting any better. I began checking the lab work myself- she did not inform me that my calcium was above normal!! Hypercalcemia can make you very ill, let alone her prescriptions. Don’t trust this one!

Dr. Swavely and the entire staff exemplify the very best in medical care. I recently changed insurance and needed to find a new doctor. Everything, beginning with the scheduling of my appointment was a welcome surprise. I was seen promptly, treated kindly, and Dr. Swavely listened carefully to all my questions and concerns. She also explained in detail everything pertaining to my treatment plan. I was very impressed with Dr. Swavely and strongly recommend her.

Dr. Swavely has been the best thing that could have happened to my health. She was diligent and thorough through out the diagnosing process and has finally diagnosed me with something I have been struggling with for YEARS but other doctors and specialist have missed. I love that she presented me with different treatment options, weighing the pros and cons of each, and then actually letting me choose. I feel comfortable talking with her about all aspects of my problems; I am extremely thankful.

Dr. Swavely has been helping me since November 2017. I could barely stand and walk. The healing process is slow but very effective. I have more a lot more strength and can move without pain. She reviews my blood work on a regular schedule and only see me when she has a reason. She is a good doctor and someone you can trust, who will make you better.

Dr. Swavely is a conscientious, thorough, thoughtful, understanding professional. She encourages patient input, listens attentively and her calmness is reassuring. Dr. Swavely is an excellent communicator and takes time to explain. I highly recommend her as a rheumatologist.
