List of Vinh Chung Md's Reviews
Had three skin cancers removed . 2 by Chung (mohs), 1 by Prado, and 2 by their plastic surgeon. 'A' team across the board. Fast, courteous, efficient. Docs are at the peak of their game. 5 stars all the way.
this is a perspective from a fan. i read his book in english class during my time at the university and truly impressed by his journey. wish I could meet him in person
He is not courteous nor helpful. It was a totally useless visit.
Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience with him. I left appt today feeling rushed out and not thoroughly examined. I have been going previously to another dr at the same clinic who was amazing so comparing to that this was subpar. I feel my concerns were brushed off and if there was some issues like there has been, basal cell carcinoma, he would’ve definitely missed it. He literally took a couple minutes to examine me. All the moles I showed him that concerned me he said, “call me if it starts bleeding”. With the other dr they were simply removed at the same appt and that’s how they found out the basal cell carcinoma! His manner was not very kind nor caring. Staff were great and polite as usual. Very disappointed as I now have to wait 6months to be seen by my previous dr.
I have a history of squamous cell carcinoma and numerous lesions removed due to biopsy being atypical. These were diagnosed by my fantastic doctor in Florida. For years, I went through 5 dermatologists in California who were totally unimpressive. Over a year ago, saw last dermatologist in downtown SF, California. He looked at a lesion on my upper left arm and disregarded it. I thought it was an age spot. Less than a year later, I had moved to Co Springs and was referred to Dr. Chung. He took one look at that lesion and asked if it had changed since it was last seen (not really). He biopsied it - came back as in situ melanoma. A resection was performed later that week. I return every quarter for a skin check. Another lesion found under right breast. Resected. Remember - while he is talking to you, he is carefully looking at your skin. He has a good eye. Many do not and that is the key.
Dr. Chung and his staff are the penultimate in professionalism. Dr. Chung does not let anything suspicious go untreated, yet he also is excellent at calming nerves when there is nothing to be worried about. The practice always has appointments available for patients who have concerning lesions, which is very important for patients who have had melanoma. I wouldn't trust my skin issues with anyone else.
Dr. Vinh and his entire team are so thorough and professional and yet friendly and caring!
This doctor has cut so many moles off me, that I am permanently disfigured. I saw another Dermatologist who told me that many of the moles I had, were not dangerous, and did not need to be cut on. Watch out for this doctor who will scare you to run up insurance bills for unnecessary procedures. Shop around.
Dr. Chung and his staff are excellent. They are kind and patient. Everything is explained thoroughly. My husband and I are both patients. We are well taken care of.
Dr. Chung found a superficial MELANOMA on my face that another dermatologist's nurse practicioner in Texas said was unimportant. He is my go-to dermo dr. from now on. He is very knowledgeable and his staff is great also.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
