List of Aristides K. Maniatis's Reviews
I reviewed earlier about the emphasis placed on weight and BMI. My daughter is now recovering from an eating disorder, and she says that Dr. Maniatis' emphasis on her weight is one of the reasons why. Also, because of his stress on weight, she tried to lose weight (not through disordered eating means) and lost 10 pounds. As a result, her periods stopped. Clearly she didn't need to lose weight at all (which I knew).
Only doctor willing to go beyond to help my kids. The staff always welcoming and smiling. My kids feel comfortable seeing the doctor.
We have been seeing Dr. Maniatis for a couple of years. Every time we see him, one of my daughters ends up in tears because of how much emphasis he places on their weight. He looks solely at the BMI (which is bunk) and not at the girl. Who needs magazines giving girls self-image issues when you have a doctor to do it? :-( Even my perfectly thin daughter...he looks at the number on the scale rather than her. I am actively seeking a new endocrinologist for their thyroid issues.
Dr Maniatis always takes the time to listen to questions, to engage the patient and provide excellent customer service. We would highly recommend him as a Dr.
I was allergic to the HGH diluent and they didn’t believe me. Then they prescribed a different brand, but made a HUGE mistake and gave me the same stuff I was allergic to! The trauma increased at my 3 month check-up. Having no faith in Dr. Maniatis or staff, I was too scared to do the blood draw. He threatened to RESTRAIN me with his 2 nurses! I was terrified! Instead of helping me, he said I was no longer a patient, cancelled my script and I had to start over. Fear for your life! Seriously.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Or better yet, negative stars. I first went to Dr. Maniatis during Spring 2016. The responsiveness and attentiveness of Dr. Maniatis and his staff was so unbelievably bad! After many, many tests, I finally started on growth hormone injections. I was allergic to the first medicine, which was not their fault, but they didn’t even believe that I was having trouble. Then, they gave me a prescription for a different brand, but they made a huge mistake; they gave me the same stuff I was allergic to! They never even checked. The allergic reactions were treatable, but I was lucky! This “mistake” was unbelievable. The pain and trauma that they repeatedly put me through was amplified when I returned for my 3 month check-up (because of all the problems, now my 8th visit to the office). Now, having no faith in Dr. Maniatis or his staff, I was too scared to do the blood draw. Dr. Maniatis threatened to restrain me (an 11 year-old girl), with the help of his two nurses, in order to get the blood draw! I was terrified! Instead of helping me, Dr. Maniatis just said I was no longer a patient, cancelled my prescription of the only medicine that ever worked, and I had to start all over. I am now getting treatment from a different endocrinologist and a pediatric trauma psychologist to deal with the terror they put me through. I will never go back and you shouldn’t either. Fear for your life! Seriously.
Dr. Maniatis is always professional and understanding to our child's special needs.
I was really happy when our pediatrician referred us to Dr. Maniatis.y daughter was able to get diagnose and promptly receive treatment . Because of our change in insurance the shots that my daughter has to get aren't all the way covered, we have been making payments even though they are extremely expensive . I begin getting call from their billing department telling me that they would not receive any sort of a payment plan and that we would have to pay 400$ a month for my daughter to continue to receive treatment. I can't even begin to express how rude and difficult their billing manager is . We can't afford the 400$ a month we are not rich but we are responsible and are willing to make some arrangements but I was told no . We have to other choice but to withdraw our daughter form receiving medical care from this office. I think the Doctor and staff are great but their billings methods are horrendous . Very disappointed .
As a parent of a young girl I was nervous and scared when my PCP referred me to a growth specialist. From the first office visit, Dr. Maniatis put my mind at ease with his vast knowledge and wonderful bedside manner. He listened to all my concerns and took the time to answer all of my questions. He was also able to correctly diagnose what was wrong with my daughter and his follow-up care has been exceptional. Dr. Maniatis continues to exceed all my expectations in that he is always on-time with his appointments, very knowledgeable on growth disorders and takes the time in each office visit to explain his course of treatment. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Maniatis for 2 years and our family is very pleased with the level of care he provides.
The billing manager is just terrible! Watch out for their cancellation policy...they record your incoming phone calls to prove thst you didn't meet theie 48 cancellation policy and if you question the billing person about it she just sends you to collections. These people reaaly think they are above everyone else-they screw their patients and won't listen to the parents. Try to find a different doctor if possible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
