Bhg Centennial Treatment Center's Online Review Report Card

BHG should be the standard for each and every methadone clinic. I have been to ARTS Parkside and Denver Recovery Group on Colfax. BHG is the ONLY place I've been where they treat you like a person instead of an incompetent drug addict. The two ladies at the front desk are a dream, especially Karen. She could singlehandedly change the "Karen" stereotype. Just an incredibly sweet, amazing woman who goes above and beyond to help. I'm currently pregnant and was homeless when I first came and she took it upon herself to get information for me about homes for pregnant women, gave me information about people who would be better suited to help with pregnancy and delivery -- two things that aren't her job and that she was in no way obligated or required to do. I now take the bus almost two hours to get here because finding people who treat you this way in this "industry" is so incredibly rare. All three nurses are friendly and amazing. The doctor actually listens to you. The counselors are just as amazing. I wish I had the words to describe just how thankful I am to these people. After being a patient at other clinics, homeless assistance organizations, medical professionals ect, I was just convinced everyone who dealt with the homeless and/or current/former addicts were unpleasant, condescending, and just plain rude. The staff at BHG has completely changed that. Amazing isn't a strong enough word. Extraordinary people all around who are very understanding and accepting. Even if you have to go a little further, I would recommend BHG over everyone and every other clinic. About dosing, never had to wait longer than maybe 10-15 minutes, even when they have an excuse like the phones and computers being down. And even that's rare. Typical time in and out is at most 3 minutes and even that's exaggerated. They get you dosed and out of there quickly. Even intake doesn't take 4-5 hours like at every other place. The ONLY downside is the hours they're open is very limited but even that's changing next month so I really have nothing negative to say. The employees can turn an amazing place horrible or a horrible place amazing. BHG has both awesome employees and an awesome building/environment. I'm hoping to go to the groups when I have a little more time to do so as well. If it's not like BHG in Centennial, you're doing it wrong lol

Because I am doing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a different, unrelated treatment center, I was looking for a Methadone clinic that did not require its patients to participate in group or individual classes (with the exception of a state-wide requirement to meet monthly with your assigned counselor-*FYI: ARTS offers the most classes but they also required each patient to supplement their dosing with a minimum of 3 therapy classes per week ). ANYWAY, my point is that if you are in need of a no frills, in and out Methadone clinic, this is the place. Professional, friendly staff. My only gripe is that they have shorter hours than the other clinics in the area so if you aren’t able to show up before 10am I suggest finding the clinics that are open until noon. Good luck!

BHG really spoiled me. I moved out of town and had to transfer to another clinic and I saw that nobody could hold a candle to this BHG clinic. Really the whole staff is amazing. I could write an essay on how many times they've bent over backwards for me. I hope they're all ok. They all deserve to be paid more. There's so many good things to say about them that a 5-star scale doesn't adequately convey how therapeutic they were for me.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: Dispensing Hours for Saturday are INCORRECT on the BHG Centennial website! The correct hours are 6am - 8am (NOT 9am!) Website is wrong! This is even worse because, if you miss Saturday you’ll also miss your take home dose for Sunday. BHG CENTENNIAL PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE HOURS!

Unclear rules and arbitrary decisions means that you can never be positive in keeping phases. Poorly explained rules mean that expectations are not explained and will often result in you going back to having to come in every day. Problems with their phone system means check in calls will go unlogged, also resulting in loss of phase. Try another clinic, one that is established and has mature processes in place that wont result in un necessary loss of phase and interruptions to your schedule.
