Hawthorne Acupuncture & Integrated Medicine's Online Review Report Card

Firstly, I want to highlight this is NOT a paid or sponsored review and that I write all this simply because it is TRUE and from my top notch experience at Hawthorne Acupunture. I stumbled across Hawthorne after doing some google searches for fertility acupunture specialists around our area. Honestly, what got me was the straightforward website featuring this service and reasonable price point BUT what kept me going was the superb service and genuine care from both Dr Cheryl and Elizabeth at the front desk that are most definitely hard to beat or come by (I've tried them allllllll, folks!!) I genuinely LOVE going to acupuncture with Dr Cheryl. It first started as a specifically for IVF and pregnancy treatment and turned into the office's being on my speed dial for literally any and every pain I feel in my body; honest to god, they are ALWAYA the first people I call and the only treatment I get real relief from. I've since gotten into heavy resistance training so, quite frankly, am almost always sore or broken somehow. Haha. That's on me... but Dr Cheryl always has a way of relieving my pain and giving me peace and serenity at her office. I seriously love the woman!!! I want to also share how grateful I am of their being so understanding and considerate of ALL their patients. I, for one, am a new first time mama of a 7 month old who dictates my schedule in as much as I try to prevent this. Babysitters flake, and you're stuck in a rut... but Dr Cheryl and Elizabeth are always quick to help me figure out something that works, even if it sometimes means coming earlier to the clinic to accommodate me. I can't imagine this is for any other reason than a genuine desire to help alleviate their patients' pain. TLDR; you will not regret coming here. They are the best in town, and I will most definitely keep coming back for anything and everything that an acupuncture needle can fix!!

I am 63 years old and live a very active lifestyle. 18 months ago I tore a tendon in my left shoulder 3 times in 1 year. I saw an orthopedic surgeon and had an MRI. I was given an injection of cortisone and was told that if the pain persisted at some point they could do a shoulder replacement. Over the 18 months my range of motion became smaller & the pain increased. I found Cheryl on the internet and she has surpassed my expectations in fixing my shoulder. In 5 treatments that took 2.5 weeks my shoulder is 80% BETTER! Her knowledge of the human body is amazing! Through her acupuncture and electrical stimulation, she gets the nerves and muscles to start working again. I have complete confidence in her that within a few more weeks my shoulder will be functioning at 100%! No surgery and no lifelong side effects. I highly recommend seeing her - you will not regret it and it does not hurt.

Cheryl changed my life. I came to her desperate for answers regarding my chronic stomach/digestion issues. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life afraid to eat just about anything because of excruciating pain. Unable to eat dairy, gluten, and usually meat, I felt low on energy and weak all the time. After 4 sessions of acupuncture with Cheryl, I could completely eat anything. I no longer have pain, constipation, or fatigue when I eat dairy and gluten specifically! Cheryl took the time to get to know me and my struggles and truly has changed my life. I will forever recommend her for ANYTHING! She is incredibly knowledgeable.

I can't recommend this place enough! Cheryl is a great acupuncturist and doctor who is truly an expert in her field. I went to Cheryl for a number of issues, and after only 5 sessions I noticed a massive difference in my body. I had more energy and felt a feeling of overall wellness that I haven't in years. Cheryl is very considerate and will take into account all of your needs. I'm grateful knowing that I can go to her for maintenance or if any issues arise for me in the future!

I can't recommend Dr. Cheryl enough. Both she and her staff are AMAZING!! Professional, personable, warm and welcoming. I see Dr. Cheryl for a foot issue and within 5-6 treatments I am pain free and I know when it acts up all I have to do is call and can get right in and be treated. OUTSTANDING!!!

Before coming to Cheryl, I was experiencing some terrible symptoms that were affecting my life! From extreme fatigue, to blurry vision, unexplained weight gain, I was even passing out at my desk! Chery is an absolute life saver!!! I have not felt this good since I was a teenager! I initially sought relief from traditional medicine, an MRI shower severe stenosis in my cervical spine, I was prescribed muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory medications. I live a very active lifestyle and was unable to do the things that bring me joy (hiking, running, lifting weights) and felt pretty hopeless. I believed I was facing a chronic condition that would forever change my life. My free evaluation appointment with Cheryl was pretty much the first time that I felt anyone really listened to my story and thoroughly assessed my pain and mobility. She quickly targeted muscles that needed attention and we went to work on fixing my shoulder that day. I can happily say that my pain and mobility issues were quicky under control in three appointments and nearly resolved in seven treatments. I am back to my life and owe it Cheryl and her team.
