List of Legend Of Colorado Springs's Reviews
My dad lived at Legend for about three years, primarily in assisted living. The staff were very kind, but often stretched thin. We tried to engage with all of the staff to stay involved with what was happening. The food isn't anything to write home about. I had meals that were just fine, but I also had other meals that were less than ideal. We moved my dad into memory care towards the end of his journey. We loved the staff, especially Lafonya and Helayna. The care they provided was exceptional. I liked the memory care staff so much that I also moved my mom into the facility prior to her passing. During our 3+ years of time working with Legend, many of the staff became like family members to us. We miss our Legend family.
John and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. The facility is very attractive and comfortable.
My father currently lives at Legend of COS. The care he receives at this facility is exceptional. The staff and management truly cares for him and all the other people who live there. My father has dementia and lately has been falling a lot. He broke his hip in June and was just getting ready for his 3 month check up when he fell in his front room and broke his femur horribly. They have been keeping his front door open to keep a better eye on him and I have ring cameras in his apartment (he is in the assisted living part). When he fell it took them less than 30 seconds to get to him. From that moment on he was never left alone. Everyone was there including John the GM and Erica who is in charge of nursing, meds etc.. They talked to him and tried to comfort him while the medics were on the way. They made sure he didn't hurt himself worse and kept his fears at bay by holding his hands and just being there for him. The communication with management (John, Erica, Lisa and Barb) is wonderful. Their communication with me is wonderful. John is always available for questions and handles everything that needs to be handled. The facility itself is beautiful and the other people who live there are great. I cannot recommend this place enough. I thank God I found Legends to help me and my dad through this difficult dementia part of his life. Kim Green
Great place
They have a LOT of struggles. Poor management; very insensitive and rude.
We moved my Mother in Law to Legend from another facility about 16 months ago. At the time we moved her we did not expect that she would live much longer as she had rapidly gone downhill and the other facility was not able to attend to her well. Even medical staff and hospice care thought we were very near the end. The memory care unit did an excellent job and my mother in law bounced back and improved much to the surprise of everyone. The staff has been great especially LaVonya (sp) who made a concerted effort to build trust. In a troubling time of life it was encouraging to work with Legend and improve a difficult situation. Our experience has been very good.
I think this facility has pretty great staff and even has a awesome church service and food isn’t too bad either. My mom moved in a month ago. Warning for those wanting memory care . DO NOT BELIEVE when they say they have their own activities. Completely untrue the people in memory care are very bored and just sleep and eat. And God forbid if you try to call your loved one without them having a cell. Front desk is unattended quite a lot. I leave messages no return call. Or if you try to call memorycare no one ever answers and it’s seems the head director and head nurse really don’t care or try to change the situation. Oh and one more thing don’t count on assisted living activities to happen in the regular part of the building because it 9 out of 10 times isn’t happening. Great staff that doesn’t get noticed for being so amazing. In fact I have seen management talk down to them sometimes. Jackson Creek is a way better in these areas. And I now wish I would have had the time to have checked out what I know now. 2500.00 fee for carpet and so forth joining fee also, wow. The Oasis band did show comes every quarter now that was fun .
We went to look at the place today and it seems like a very nice, clean and happy place. We plan to put our mother there so we will post again in a month.
If I could give zero stars I would! The facility on tour is lovely, however the care once your loved one is in the facility is terrible. There are a few people on staff there that are wonderful, however the other shifts are covered by people who just don’t care. The head nurse there is a dangerous person who lies and encourages other caregivers to lie to families. When issues are brought to management there is nothing but excuses. My heart breaks for those without constant oversight from loved ones. Don’t be fooled by the pretty facade!
My mother was going through really hard times . I cannot thank this place enough for providing a clean, safe and entertaining experience. To want to thank the staff for all their hard work and dedication.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
