As far as I can tell, Dr Hass is very capable as a physician and cataract surgeon. He did my lasic surgery a couple years ago. After a year or so, the lens in one eye slipped when I rubbed at an irritation. It took me almost a week to get an appointment, and by the time I saw Dr Haas, the lens was nearly back in place. In my appointment, Dr Haas completely invalidated my experience, telling me that the lens had certainly not slipped. He talked about blurring which can happen gradually in some patients, and offered me a surgery to correct this, which I had not requested. I know the difference between blurred and distorted vision, and felt the doctor's response was evasive and unprofessional.

Dr. Haas is an excellent physician who is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He has been my doctor for Diabetes care and also performed my surgery for cataracts. He took very good care of me and I regret my move to Illinois has required me to find another physician! Great doctor who also happens to be a good guy!
