List of St. Francis Hospital's Reviews
Our visit to the ER was pointless. The nurse starting off barely asked questions and gave no directions for the urine sample then was upset when the sample wasn’t brought back to the room. Had to wait hours for X-rays then was sent home because they think it’s nerve damage and you need a MRI for further testing. My Sibiling was crying from pain was given ibuprofen then was told you’re not emergent so we are not gonna do your MRI here. Dr. Crumpton also had no semblance of bedside manner or sympathy at all. The nurse during my sibiling’s discharge was bragging about travel nursing and how she’s been to New Jersey and Arkansas while my Sibiling is trying to listen to the doctor and crying. They don’t care and don’t give good service to ppl who really need it. As a medical professional I was just shocked at how horrible the service and unprofessionalism was.UPDATE: UC HEALTH CENTRAL FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS WRONG AND DIDN’T SEND MY SIBILING HOME WITH NO INFO AND IN PAIN GO THERE
Horrible. If you need to take your child somewhere for emergency care...do not go here. Son ripped his arm open and needed 13 stitches. They gave him childrens Tylenol and stitched without numbing first. No one...even the dr seemed to know wth they were doing.
Went in for some urgent care and was treated quickly and professionally.
Just left the ER and the staff was horrible. Not a friendly environment at all. The only nice person was the X-ray tech. The EMT who check me in during triage was wearing an airpod and not paying attention. Not friendly at all. The lady who checked me in wasn’t friendly either. I asked her an important question about asking if the EKG stickers they put on me. I have a latex allergy and she did not seem to care at all. Once the doctor saw me she said “sorry I don’t have a magic wand to help you” and I was then discharged and the RN said I was free to go and I was left to un hook myself from the machines and the RN just went back to her computer. Completely unprofessional and I will not be returning. Would not recommend.
I have had to take my wife there twice now both times have been amazing . From the intake staff to the doctors and nurses all have been amazing . Wait time was relatively short and was seen and placed in a room pretty fast . My only complaint which is not the hospitals fault is with one of the security staff . Tubby mall cop was on a power trip and “order” me to pick up a mask after I went through security. I just laughed at him and did’t not pick up a mask and went about my night . Other than that the hospital is amazing .
Drink bleach instead of going here!!! I would give it negative if I could, I went in because I thought I had a small heart attack, and wanted to make sure I was OK. Doctors and nurses did absolutely nothing, didn't Document correctly saying I came in for abdominal pain. Then lied to my primary care doctor saying I refused tests, and still expect me to pay $2000 for the hours I sat in the waiting room, while they were slow. The incompetence of the entire system is astounding, and if it's a real medical emergency and you go here you might as well drink bleach because you'll die either way. With bleach at least there's no outrageous medical bills for doing nothing when you die.
Wow! My wife has delivered two children at this hospital. The first went well for the most part, but our most recent second child's delivery was phenomenal. Our beautiful baby girl was born May 3rd, and the team we had was amazing. We called and triage directed us to come in. As we arrived at 8:30, they pulled us right into a room and began monitoring and moving to get us over to delivery. They assign a nurse to you once you come in and they will stick with you until a few hours after the baby is born. Jessica was assigned to us and she was out of this world. Her professionalism, willingness to listen and answer questions, helpfulness and ability to tend to my wife was astronomical. We loved every second, even through delivery, knowing she was in the room gave calm to my wife and the complete situation. Thank you again! After our hours alone for skin to skin, we were moved over to the postpartum wing for observation following birth. Although our first two nurse shifts were good, our last team of Nurses was fantastic. It's 7 am and they came in the room for change over cracking jokes and lightening the mood. Michelle was very obviously training Susan, but they worked well together, helped us complete every task to prepare to discharge and walked us through several tips and tricks we'd not know with the first child. Michelle stands out as a knowledgeable and respectable team leader and I hope Susan learns as much from her as we did, what an example she is in that facility. Overall, their team exceeded our expectations from the moment we stepped in the doors, blowing the first experience out of the water. We want to thank the crew they have assembled and are thankful we were in such good hands.
Most of the staff are very rude. Didn’t feel welcome. made my visit uncomfortable.
Wish I had come to this site first...your "ER" IS an emergency. I wouldn't be so disappointed if they had not asked me what my pain level was and then immediately dismissing it after, in no uncertain terms, "9 when I'm just laying here, 10 if I move" She the casually says "Well have a good night, we're discharging you"...I was stunned (would have been more so if I hadn't been in so much pain)So there I was driving back home in the early morning hours with my young daughter in the same pain and cold sweat I drove up there in hoping that I did not pass out. 2 week update--Pain free...Thank God! At the time I was in agony and scared because I didn't understand why. The hospital made an attempt to reach out to me but I could never get ahold of anyone when I called and the clinic whose number they gave me for follow up would not see me as they said that they were not accepting new patients. I explained I needed immediate care. I ultimately contacted a nearby clinic and they were able see me. The physician there suffered from the same affliction, so it was pretty easy to explain it. I took in all of my prescriptions that the ER prescribed in a bag along with all paperwork. He look over everything and was critical of the direction they took and their approximation of "care". He then went on to fully described what was going on with me and why I was in so much pain all of a sudden. Looking back on it now is kind of surreal.
Decide for yourself! The responses from two visits during the previous year were the same for two distinct family members. 35 occupied rooms, three nurses, and, with any hope, one or more floating floors on the floor. There is just one CNA on staff, no candy stripers, no extra assistance for those who can't get up, and not even daily floor sweeping is done. Although the staff was excellent, they were overworked and unable to provide adequate care. Hours of being left alone without responding to call buttons. He was sent home, and a blood clot was discovered less than a month later that runs from his hip to his angle; he was sent home still sick, and I did what I could not being in the medical field myself. The first family member was not sat up or moved to protect him from developing blood clots for over a week. I had to step in as his wife and demand and monitor that care was being given. The blood clot is still a problem, and it is still an issue and will take time to get him back to some degree of control. My sister is the second member of my family, and she, too, had to struggle to obtain the fundamental defenses against future problems due to the same circumstances—a shortage of personnel. In Colorado Springs, this hospital is constructing a brand-new facility, refurbishing the hospital's Woodmen Avenue floors, and staffing temporary facilities with plenty of nurses and CNAs who are eager to start work is not being done. If they are unable to provide the most basic care as it is, what makes them think that after remodeling, when more rooms are available and with a new hospital, they will be able to? Even the bare minimum is not present at this hospital, which is "TO PROVIDE SAFE, SECURE, AND HIGH-QUALITY MEDICAL CARE." Investors shouldn't be allowed to own hospitals because their sole interest is in making money!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
