List of David H. Elfenbein's Reviews
I broke my foot and had to have surgery before the long trip home. I was incredibly impressed and comforted by Dr. Elfenbein's bedside manner and expertise. My podiatrist later was so impressed with Dr. Elfenbein's surgical fix that he sent the surgery films out to his buddies in Austin, TX. Excellent doc, great staff, amazing care.
Dr. Elfenbein is one of the worse Orthopedic surgeons I have ever had work on me. He messed me up good time and I am still suffering for it. Now he has taken off to Colorado, probably because of lawsuits. DO NOT get involved with this person, you will be sorry! I can't in good conscience call him a doctor - he doesn't have enough orthopedic training and is just bad news!
The worst practice EVER!!!! They would leave me (and others) waiting for more than an hour to be seen and this happened almost every time I went... apparently their time was more valuable than their patients. I "fired" Dr. Elfenbein and would not recommend him or that entire practice to anyone... especially their physical therapy department!!!
Treated me and then denied the adverse affects which are well-document and eay to find even on the internet. Then would not help me do something to resolve the issues caused and doesn't want to see me anymore about it. I guess hiding from the problem he caused is OK. Had a temper tantrum, cutting up a medical support one day. Insists multiple symptoms after procedure are a 'coincidence'. Didn't bother to review my history to be able to prove. Didn't bother to use spray to help the pain of an injection that is very painful - that was just plain mean. I always wait a long time; he is seldom on time. The office doesn't explain billing policy and does things to incur costs you wouldn't need. He is arrogant and doesn't like to hear anything he has done did not work perfectly. I think he is puffed up with his own importance. I think he likes to move in the surgeries and move out the patients as fast as possible $$$$. He doesn't care a damn about me as a patient. NO COMPASSION AT ALL.
Dr. Elfenbein put my fingers back together after a nasty tablesaw accidentwhere I cut deeply into the ends of several fingers on my dominant hand. Thought several fingernails would be gone for sure and that my range of motion and strenth would never be normal again, but due to his skill I can't really tell any difference between before and after the accident. Amazing work!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
