Nathan L. Cafferky's Online Review Report Card

I had total Knee replacement on October 4, 2022. I was asking in January and hiked six national parks in Costa Rica the first two weeks in February. No pain at all, steps are a breeze, and I did some very challenging hikes on rugged terrain.

I had mild arthritis in my hip in July. I different surgeon recommended steroid injections. 5 months later I went from mild arthritis to severe and had significant necrosis (death of bone due to blood flow loss). I am relatively young at 53. Dr. Cafferky was the EXACT person for the job. He spent a great amount of time stepping me through the options. His recommendation was a total hip replacement. I am about a month out from that. My hard recovery was one week. I was walking the same day and off narcotics in 4 days, off all meds but aspirin in one week. I am at about 80% of my pre-surgery self. I will be mountain biking by month 4. I can't recommend Dr. Cafferky AND his care team enough. I made the right choice.

I had a robotic-assisted total knee replacement and felt taken care of by the entire team. They provided a wealth of information before the procedure which was very comforting. They were always available for calls and never made me feel bad about asking questions. I am now able to do everything I wanted to do!

He was very good about explaining the surgery and my options are regarding how soon and when for a hip replacement.

Dr. Cafferky replaced my left knee on April 2nd and it is wonderful. Before the surgery I was in a lot of pain and had severe pain when making a right turn on skis. I told him I am 78 years old and want to continue skiing. After the surgery, I went to Florida to do my PT and I was far ahead of other patients there who had knee replacements. I just had a checkup with Dr. Cafferky after 7 weeks and I can bend my leg to 140 degrees. People cannot believe I move around as I do after this short time. I am very pleased with my new knee and free of pain. Dr. Cafferky is the best.

1 year ago, I had successful Robotic Assisted TKA on my left knee with Dr Nathan Cafferky with excellent results. I enjoyed the summer riding my road bike climbing the passes in Summit County and did some hiking, including a fourteener. During the winter I did lots of alpine and Nordic skiing until my right knee started bothering me, so after the success of my other knee replacement, I opted to have Robotic Assisted TKA on my right knee. It is now 6 weeks since the surgery and I have reached my ROM and have matching alignment of the knees and I feel that my body well balanced. I am already swimming 1 km, I am doing virtual rides indoors on my smart trainer and ready to ride on the bike path when the snow melts. As was the case last year, I am also doing PT for my recovery.I highly recommend Dr Cafferky, apart from his surgical skills and knowledge, he and his team always showed genuine care and concern for my wellbeing and and have always been very attentive to my questions.

Dr Cafferky replaced both my hips. I loved working with him. He talks TO you, not above you, and treats you like a person. Everyone on his team was wonderful, kind, and helpful! To be pain-free for the first time in 4 years has been life-changing.

Because of the thoroughness and sympathetic ear of Dr. Cafferky and his compassionate team in preparing my surgical expectations, I was totally at ease during the presurgery appointments, the actual surgery, and the postoperative appointments. I followed their recommended physical therapy program, and at two months post surgery, I have total range of motion, no pain, and almost 100% of my strength. Dr. Cafferky's total professionalism, genuine kindness, and obvious skills are hallmarks of a truly unequaled professional.

On October 2, 2020, Dr. Cafferky did a total hip arthroplasty (anterior) and restored my mobility! He did an excellent job! I appreciate his thoroughness in explaining the procedure and all the related things I needed to know. His professionalism, kindness and skill are much appreciated.
