List of Adventhealth Medical Group Primary Care At Southmoor's Reviews
IMPOSSIBLE to schedule an appointment when you are sick. Called on Wednesday....first available Monday. They suggest Urgent Care or ER. I have been a patient for 3 years and it continues to get worse.
They have everything here you do your lab work if you do your examinations and they are so easy going It's a blessing to have this right next to my house I'm so lucky! 😁😊
Avoid at all costs! After years of being a patient with Centura at this location, it was taken over by AdventHealth. I was required to schedule an appointment for a new doctor to take over my care, which involved an approximate 10-minute conversation where they literally just looked over my chart. She told me I should discontinue two medications I had been on and come back for a full physical in July. For this, I was charged $384 and, despite attempting to dispute this, was told it was charged appropriately. They took over two months to do their review, then the day after they called to tell me I still had to pay, I received a message saying my account was overdue. Definitely a racket to get money out of people, and gouge patients and insurance companies for as much as they can, with little to no concern about the reality nor the patients they are supposedly offering to care for. On top of this, discontinuing my medications resulted in my blood pressure skyrocketing to unhealthy levels. When I sent a message to my new physician on the portal, I received no response, so decided on my own to start taking the medication again. I'll definitely be looking for a new healthcare provider and encourage you all to look elsewhere, as well.
I keep being told to follow-up with them after ER visits etc an surgeries and they will be there when I need them, but they aren't! I asked well, could you take care of xyz....no it would be better if your other drs did that. No, we can't help with vitamin deficiencies, etc. YOU ARE LACKING BASIC PATIENT CARE! The front desk staff can't seem to get messages to my doctor accurately so the MA calls back, leaves a message that is legitimately twisting the reason you called. Why can't you just have a medical line instead of needing to go through scheduling to communicate with care team? Not like they are fast on portal, esp when the dr is out. I was assured that I would be able to see another provider if mine is out, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case.
if you don’t take my insurance, don’t let me schedule an appointment, send me a million reminder emails, and CHECK IN FOR MY APPOINTMENT before letting me know I’ll have to pay out of pocket for my visit.
My primary care physician left for his own personal reasons and I assumed that they would help assign me a new PCP, I had sent a message through the portal for some prescription renewals and I never got a response, so on 3/19 I called the office only to be told, there is no doctor for me and I would have to find a doctor elsewhere. I was flabbergasted. The person who took my call was rude and uncaring. Ever since the location transitioned to Advent Health from Centura, the service has went down hill. The new organization is a total farce. I would not recommend at all. If you think that they care about your health, guess again. They are pathetic!
I had been a patient with Dr. Patel for years, but he left and the clinic completely dropped me as a patient. They won't even set up an appointment for me with a new doctor. Great quality of care. On top of it, when I requested copies of my records they wouldn't tell me how to get them and are going to charge me for them, but won't tell me what the cost will be. Ridiculous treatment after being a patient here for so long.
The front staff is absolutely horrible. They are so rude and completely inconsiderate. I’ve been a patient for years, but unfortunately I will not be returning. The doctors are great if you can get past the front staff.
Edit: per the response below, I HAVE talked to the team (usually front desk & appt setting) - 3x - and they couldn’t care less. They sound bored and irritated and want me off the phone. I also did meet with the NP. She was lovely and thorough. Again, it’s not her rather the policy that once you pick (in this case I didn’t pick it was the only option), you can’t change as availability allows. It’s a rigid policy that is not patient-first. Original post: My PCP was in this practice and then he left. They only have a nurse practitioner available to absorb his former patients. I’m sure she’s great, but if I “pick” her as my provider I am never allowed to change to an actual doctor if/when their practice opens. It’s not very patient centric to never allow me the option to change to an actual doctor when availability allows. I would understand if this was temporary but forcing patients to pick a provider forever is ridiculous. One more example of our broken healthcare system. They should reassess this policy. Guess I’m off to UC Health.
Dr Patel is easy to talk to, personable, thorough, and thoughtful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
