Booked a massage through Groupon so didn’t know what to expect. Jonah did a great job!! He focused on exactly what I asked for and I walked out of there with the best jelly legs! Khruangbin as the music choice was an added bonus!
I stumbled into Berkeley Acupuncture this week in pain and I walked out feeling so much better! Kim really took care of me on so many levels. There are moments when you know that you are in the right place and this was definitely one of them!
I had psoriatic arthritis and inflammation related to stress at age 36 that severely limited my mobility. I had been very athletic previously, and had to give up sports for a year. Working on diet, sleep, meditation etc etc wasn't enough to cope and my body was showing the signs, especially in my knees, ankles, and feet. I wasn't able to get up from the floor without something to pull up on. I saw Kim weekly for a few months and it made a huge difference! I've got 90% of my mobility back and can take it the rest of the way with stretching and exercise. Kim really listened to what my symptoms were, tried different techniques, and adapted the care plan over time. She made me feel cared for and helped my body recover from a really difficult year.

Caring providers and a great location at affordable prices!!
Amazing massages. And wonderful prices. Love this place!
I used to come here every so often but a few months ago I had a bad session with Kim and just can't go back. During the acupuncture session, she was very aggressive but the pain in my shoulder was unbearable so I put up with it. The original shoulder pain I went in for eventually went away but there is still a pain that feels more like a tear in tissue or a blood clot. I called simply to ask if this could be something that they could help me resolve and for some reason she wouldn't answer my question and kept saying that I never showed up for the appointment I was talking about and I haven't been seen there in 9 months...she also was aggressive in trying to poach me from the acupuncturist I had been seeing there and I felt that put me in an uncomfortable position.
Rick was awesome! He was very informative and introduced the idea of cupping to me. I highly recommend to give Thid establishment a try, you won’t be disappointed!
With Andy Young's top notch knowledge in Acupuncture, specifically digestive health, pain management, herbalism and Andy's willingness to expand his vast skills, my goals were not only realized, but surpassed, regarding recovery from fibromyalgia and numerous digestive health issues that originated years ago resulting from anorexia. Andy and I began our work approximately a decade ago. Initially the Acupuncture treatments varied from one day per week to two days per week, irrespective, I arrived at the appointment in tears resulting from the unbearable fibromyalgia pain. Weekly Acupuncture treatments became routine, as Andy and I worked diligently with perseverance, regardless of the life challenges that arose in my life, Andy did not waver in his dedication to achieving my recovery goals. I have been pain free approximately one year. In addition, November 2018, I began the monthly maintenance Acupuncture treatments. I recently completed nutritional counseling, concretizing my digestive health recovery. The decade long journey has ended and was indeed quite the journey. My deepest heartfelt gratitude to Andy Young, who is not only an exceptional Acupuncturist dedicated to healing, but is also the owner of Berkeley Community Acupuncture.
I received a superb massage from Rick today. This was my 2nd massage with him and I am very pleased with the results. I've been having a great deal of pain in my neck and shoulder area. Doctors have been no help. He was able to tell me why I'm having this pain and gave me at home stretches to do. The doctors just gave me narcotics and no answers. I will be returning regularly to help prevent the pain from occurring again. It's a far better choice that allowing myself to get addicted to narcotics like big pharma wants.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
