List of Brian White's Reviews
I'm so grateful I found Dr White. I was suffering with progressive hip pain for most of my adult life, and previous orthopedists I saw weren't listening and paying attention to my symptoms. Dr White was a breath of fresh air. Patient, attentive, knowledgeable, informative. After thoroughly examining my hip (including various scans), he recommended labral reconstruction (and NOT repair) for my injured labrum. He arthroscopically replaced my severely injured labrum and reshaped my femoral head, and his expertise in this procedure will result in my not having to replace my hip down the road. My hip pain is completely gone. He is an extremely talented and kind physician, and I highly recommend this procedure. Thank you, Dr White, for vastly improving my quality of life.
I had 2 unsuccessful labral repair/revision surgeries and found Dr. White after realizing that none of the ortho specialists in my region (East Coast) had the skills or knowledge to help me. After meeting Dr White, I immediately felt like I was in the best of hands. He performed a labral reconstruction for me 3 months ago and I am already thrilled with the results. I think I'm finally on a path to have my life back and am eternally grateful.
I have just had my second hip surgery with Dr White both for labral reconstructions plus microfractures and a bone spur removed. Dr White is an amazing surgeon and both recoveries have been ahead of the timeline. He has very specific rehab protocols and if you follow everything he says to do you to will have a great recovery. My first surgery was when I was in my early 50s and the second I am nearly 59. I am a fit healthy adult and after 6 months I am hiking again, not running that'll be a few more months. In his surgeries he takes his time to fix everything he finds so you don't have to come back. If you are thinking about a repair don't bother my recommendation is to just do the reconstruction and be done. He has been doing this for over 10 years and does not teach but prefers to focus on the patient to give them the best care. I would also recommend besides a PT using a pelvic therapist to keep things in track.
I have had 2 label reconstructions iny 50s with Dr White, he is an amazing surgeon very caring and loves what he does for his patients. I had my first hip done 7 years ago and recently had the second done after a significant tear. Both recoveries have been flawless with no issues or set backs. I have religiously followed his protocols and for good reason they work. I have no pain in either hip and enjoy hiking and being outdoors all the time. He spends as much time as you need on visits both pre-op and post-op as well as the surgery, if he finds anything else during the surgery he will fix it so no need for further surgeries. His staff are all amazing, well organized and been there for years. Sean his PA is especially good and his operative team have all been together a long also. After the surgery I only used, ice, naproxen and Tylenol for recovery but honestly had no pain and needed no heavy medications. If you are thinking about a repair don't hesitate the label reconstruction is the best and most effective option, you won't regret it!
Everyone in the office has been nothing but kind and attentive. Everything has gone smoothly through two labral reconstruction. I was told what was going to happen, why and how. I was told of the different things that might come up during surgery and how he would address them. All questions I had were answered, whether at my appointments or when I called. The surgeries and recovery went exactly how I was told. My Mother had piece of mind because she was updated all throughout my time in the hospital. I was given pictures and explanation of what he saw and did during the surgery. I followed the protocols set out for me and came away with great results. But none of that compares to the compassion, understanding and joy I felt from Dr. White's staff, especially Dr. White himself. I truly believe that Dr. White was happy to help me. Not just for money or anything like that, but for the simple fact he helped someone who for so long believed there was no help and that he was appreciated. That says something about him.
Don't waste part of your life by going to another doctor. Dr. Brian White will fix you up and give you all of the resources you need to get back to enjoying your life!
My reconstruction surgery was a complete success. After struggling with hip/labral pain for a few years, and with several other medical consultations, I was finally referred to Dr. White. I'm quite active and both he and his staff were terrific to work with, on top of my care from my first to last visit in all aspects. I recently received a clean bill of health and feel better than I have in a very long time. I'd recommend Dr. White w/out hesitation to anyone with similar hip pain issues. Thank you all for getting me back to a lifestyle without limitations!
Two years ago, I was 55 and couldn't sit or drive easily due to pain. Sleep was difficult. Cycling, kayaking, dancing, running were all off the table. Yesterday I finished a fabulous trail run and thought, "I gotta call and thank those guys!" So, making my thanks public, and encouraging anyone on the labral reconstruction fence to just DO it! I had two reconstructions in 2 years and it was worth every minute of crutches and rehab. Thanks Dr. White, for your expertise, encouragement, and easy manner. You, your office staff (Theresa and Candace!) and your surgical team ROCK! Back to all the activities, thanks to you all. Labral reconstruction has been a game changer!

This review was very difficult for me to write. For so long I had trusted Dr. White with my health. Even after an unsuccessful labrum reconstruction I stayed with Dr. White for a total hip replacement. Unfortunately, the total hip replacement did not improve my condition but made it worse. The day after the surgery Dr. White said to me that it was difficult to get my hip back together and that is what it feels like. Like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, my hip now hurts me all the time. I can only imagine what damage was done forcing my hip back together. I used to be a very active person and now I am on a pain regimen just to get through the day. Dr. White has certainly done many successful surgeries but when things don’t go as planned can he take the steps necessary for a successful outcome? For me the answer is NO and therefore I can no longer recommend Dr. White.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
