Terrible hours (from 1-4?! What?!) and poor communication. They need to learn to call their patients. If you send a bunch of emails with no reply, I’m clearly not getting your emails. Call me. It’s not hard. Now I can’t get important medication. I liked my doc, but rough office management.
Dr visits are fine but to call the office is impossible. Poor office management.
Very poorly run office. The staff is unable to effectively communicate required paperwork and work with companies that provide sleep studies. Complete waste of months of time. Staff clearly is not there for the benefit of patients.
Professionalism and compassion, along with listening skills are absent in this office. Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz could care less about my health concerns, but was always quick to refer me to have a sleep study done. For months I had complained about my health condition, but his resolution was to do a sleep study. Without ordering additional tests and really listening to me to make sure he was using his medical skills applicable to my situation, he just did not value me as a patient. Because of the lack of care, I ended up going to the emergency room. But before I went, I tried calling the office to see if I could make an appointment right away. However, the unpleasant person answering the phone, could care less and simply didn't want to be bothered. I then asked to speak to Dr. Schwartz Assistant who advised me to wait for my upcoming scheduled visit in about four weeks or see my Primary Care Physician. Because of the lack of care, my condition has worsened. There is absolutely no compassion and zero customer service skills at this medical office. JESUS CHRIST is love and we are to love as HE Loves us. Last but not least, my advice is to find another pulmonology office that really adds VALUE to their patients and are friendly.
3 Strikes, You're Out. 1st, when I called to set an appointment, the front office woman was extremely rude, impatient, condescending, and overall treated me like I was not a paying customer, but a low-life instead. Noone likes that. Intentionally insulting your customers isn't a great strategy. Strike 1. 2nd, I made a calendar mistake (because I'm human), and came to my appointment the week after it was scheduled. I didn't know that until I arrived. Instead of accomodating me, or explaining, or anything really at all...I got the same treatment from another staff member. She said "You missed your appointment. There's a fee to reschedule.", and then slid me a post it note with "$50" on it. Again, with an honest mistake they treat you like you're a nuisance to their very existence. I've shown up to other appointments at the wrong times before, and my providers there accomodated me willingly...and they are much busier than this office. Strike 2. 3rd, I decide after two negative experiences I would take my health business elsewhere. If they are that rude and demeaning just to try to get in, why would talking to the doctor be any different? If they obviously care so little about their patients during intake, why would they care more during actual care? So I left it alone. I learned my lesson, and kept my mouth shut. But then they sent me a bill in the mail. Yes, a bill for a service which was not provided. So you want to insult me repeatedly and then leach my wallet? That's strike 3. You're out. I'm not sure why doctors offices have a reputation for being so awful, but this is one of those who seems to celebrate how bad they are. So if you feel like being condescended, disregarded, ignored, treated entirely unimportant, and then want to pay for the privilege...then this is your place. I've had a wide range of bad and positive experiences in health care. If you read my reviews, you'll see I'm not shy when an office royaly screws up repeatedly. You need to know, and they need to learn to do better or pay the consequences. It's a free market. You can also see I sing unrestrained praises when a company does a great job. Those companies should be celebrated, and rewarded, and you need to know who they are. This office is not one of them.
Exceptional experience. The staff was quick and efficient (seen on time!). The doctor was extremely personable and informative - explained everything every step of the way and always made room for me to ask questions.
Would not recommend this practice to anyone. Was seen by Dr. Voelkel and he recommended I take pulmonary stress test. Took the test at National Jewish in Aug., 2019. I kept waiting to hear back from him to discuss the results. In Dec., I finally called and asked why I hadn't heard from him. The assistant said that they hadn't requested a copy of the results, so they would and get back with me. I did get a voicemail on my cell phone from the doctor later in Dec., asking me to call. I did, but you can NEVER get a doctor on the phone. Since I can't bring my cell phone in to work, I gave them my office number to call. He never called it. I was able to get a copy of the results from National Jewish and discussed it with my PCP. But you can bet their accounting dept. is VERY good at calling you about the bill.
I have been with Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz since 2006. I am an ARDS SURVIVOR. Dr. Schwartz is an amazing pulmonologist. He has monitored my health since my release from the hospital (P/SL). I wanted to say he is the best. He listens to me and answers all my questions. If you are considering him I would say you won’t be sorry. Is he or his staff perfect? No. No one is perfect. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. If you are experiencing a problem let them know and be persistent. Persistence gets results.
Would not recommend. My husband had an appointment early last week with Dr. Jefferry Swartz. Although we appreciate his time in getting the full history, we never got the medications he prescribed (Walgreens said they were never sent) and we also were supposed to have a couple of procedures done but no one ever called to schedule. I have called to inquire how to go about the procedures and to ask them to resend the prescriptions and no one called back. The only call I have received is a appointment reminder for Monday where we are supposed to talk about if the meds helped or not. Just called to cancel andthe appointment told them the reasoning why and didn't even get an apology.
I have been dealing with breathing issues for several months and was referred to this practice by my primary care physician. Dr Voelkel reviewed my lung CT scan, x-ray and history then took the time to explain in great detail what he believed was happening with my health. He seems to be very up to date and knowledgeable with respiratory issues and ordered more comprehensive testing and started treatment on my condition. I was very impressed with his manner and I feel he will be a great benefit to my ongoing health issues. The office staff is efficient and friendly. I would recommend this group to anyone seeking specialist help.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
