Dr. Peng is a gem.
My experience with Dr Peng has been consistently gold standard. She listens carefully and is always responsive to my concerns.
It's a better place than any place I've been to. thank you
Hello, In January 2022 CU Medicine purchased my doctor's office. They did not notify me that they are not contracted with my insurance plan anymore and continued to see me and take copays as usual. When I received the first bill, I called CU Medicine's billing department. They kept telling me that it is not their problem, my insurance did not pay and I have to pay. They did not tell me why they were not paid and it looked like they did not care about it either. I contacted my insurance company and they paid to CU Medicine. CU Medicine still wants me to pay and refuse to do anything about it. It is impossible to reach any manager there. Clients have no rights with CU Medicine. If you have a choice, do not choose CU Medicine.
It looks like I am not alone when it comes to the totally corrupt billing department. They billed Medicare and BC/BS in error so $0 was paid. They refuse to correct the error and only can say "You can pay me now or we can set you up on a payment plan." My payment plan was paying for my insurance so I don't have to have a "payment plan." CU Medicine IS NOT A PART OF CU Health so do not make that mistake. Check out the doctor's association before you make an appointment. If they are associated with CU Medicine - find another doctor.
Avoid at at cost! They charged you additional fees if you are a new patient, and they aren’t telling you before the visit. I scheduled an annual checkup, which should be fully covered by the insurance. However, CU Medicine is claiming this as a “doctor visit”, which is not considered as preventative treatment. Now I have to pay $200+ out of pocket for a checkup. This is nonsense!
CU Medicine billing is a racket of bullies and their system as set up to hurt patients. If you have not been to CU Medicine before, DO NOT GO. When you call as a new patient, likely you'll want a physical. Preventative care like that is generally covered by insurance 100%. BUT when you ask for a physical as a new patient, they bill your insurance as something other than a physical, something other than preventative care. So your insurance won't cover it. Worse, they don't tell you they're doing this. You find out when you get a bill. You call them. They tell you the physical you had was not preventative. It was to "establish care" - this amounts to a surprise initiation fee of nearly $300. Evil. And we still haven't gotten to the bigot doctors. I called and they said they'd get back to me. Nothing. I left negative reviews and they gave me an email address that I wrote to. Twice now. Nothing. I left a BBB complaint to which CU responded that they'd be in touch with me directly. Nothing. But wait for it! They'll tell me they're here to help in the comments! AVOID!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
