This is truly the WORST family doctor in Denver. Do not take your family here as I will explain my experience I had the last few years with this practician. 2 years ago, it was visually noted that I had a diagnosis- I got blood drawn and was told if I did not receive a call back, that everything was negative. Fast forward to November 2024, I actually became symptomatic and got blood drawn again. I asked "Weren't my results in February 2023 negative?" And received the answer from the doctor "oh no they were dropped and the results were never taken, no one ever told you?" Well NO nobody ever told me. I have been waiting for results for over a week now and have been told that "they are in progress" I called the lab just to find out there has been a message waiting in the doctors inbox for 5 DAYS NOW asking for clarification on the testing code since it was SUBMITTED INCORRECTLY. Extremely unprofessional on DFM's end, I am disgusted by how little they care about their patients, as I am sitting here now a week later with an unknown diagnosis, and am being refused any further medication until a positive result comes back, which probably won't be for another week. Do better. DO NOT GO HERE. 0/10 recommend.
I have been a patient here for several years and recently my doctor (Teska) left the practice. I am in the process of getting a new doctor at a different practice but in the meantime I have had to deal with just awful doctors who do not care and just want to get my appointment over with. I have to get my prescription sent monthly so I call monthly and recently I cannot get through to anyone! Automatically sends me straight to the after hours line even when they are open. Would not recommend this practice.
Loraine Van Slyke has the best combination of warmth, professionalism, and competence that I’ve ever experienced in a healthcare setting. She asks thoughtful questions, listens carefully, and takes notes attentively, making you feel at ease regardless of why you came in to see her. The receptionists and medical assistants have also been wonderful!!
While I find the office staff to be attentive and efficient, I have had some really negative experiences with my doctor. Dr. Draeb’s interpersonal skills unfortunately leave a lot to be desired and this seems to me to be a vital component when you are working with someone’s health concerns. In my most recent appt with her, she lacked empathy, displayed a noticeable impatience with my recounting of my recent illness, and essentially minimized my concerns. She has been better at times but the unpredictability of how she shows up is distressing and unacceptable and I will not be going back to her.
Very bad at calling in prescription(s) for their patients. I called multiple times for someone to call my scripts in. Had to wait 8 hours - very unacceptable! I'm currently looking for another provider who can do better.
Been going to this practice for over 13 years. The doctors and other practitioners have been great over the years. Lately the front desk staff service is so bad. Been trying to get an urgent prescription submitted for over a week. And I have been calling every single day for this request. Very frustrating
They need to hire more people to answer the phones...
I've been a patient at Denver Family Medicine, but my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I needed a medication refill in July, and the earliest virtual appointment they could offer me was September 20th--almost two months later. Despite calling multiple times and explaining that I was completely out of my medication, no effort was made to prioritize my situation. After my third call, the front desk finally said they'd send a message to a provider to request a one-month refill. For the next three weeks, I called for updates and received no response from the provider. I've not felt like a priority here, and this experience has seriously made me reconsider continuing with this practice.
Doctors were decent, but front desk was hard to handle. Difficult to set up an appointment, a callback as they do not seem to do much pro active work.
Impossible to get in touch with.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
