Denver Health: Park Hill Family Health Center's Online Review Report Card

“I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ashley Schinske and her team at the Denver Health Park Hill Clinic! My visit felt less like a typical doctor’s appointment and more like spending time with family. The staff was warm, welcoming, and made the whole experience full of laughter and positivity. They took care of everything I needed efficiently, and their vibes were incredibly uplifting. I truly love this team and appreciate everything they do. Thanks, team – you all are the best!”

Left me without my prescription for over a week. Won't answer my messages or calls

I think the general practice and psychology is great here, but I would advise seeking psychiatric care elsewhere if you want open medical discussion at office visits versus political debate. Patients should be able to share ideas safely and openly without fear of political knee-jerk reactions. Patients, especially those coming in for mental health reasons, should never leave an office visit feeling like they did something wrong.

CICP woman refused to serve us saying non sense things for 3 days!!! At the end she said I can't serve you because it's "first come first serve!" But there are no other customers at morning 9am!!!! And I understand that we came there to listen that last sentence from Monday to Friday every morning as waiting her!!!!! Very very BAD SERVICE!!!!

I can't even begin to tell how horrendous and frightening place has become. I want to say you might pass away from the "care" here. I have come out of this clinic with more pain and more illness. The Dr's don't respond to messages and the nurses and medical assistants consistently mis-step. As a result, I ended up in the ER at a different hospital. My Dr hasn't followed up with that emergency because he doesn't care from what I conclude. He seems unwilling to escalate healthcare to find out more about my health issues. I told Dispatch Health during my emergency visit that some of my messages will go unanswered for days and the two women looked at me with eyes wide and shook their head as they wanted to let my dr. know what was going on. I don't trust the nurses here anymore. The good ones have left. The Hippocratic oath means nothing to them. I have lost my faith in doctors and am scared now of hospitals because of Parkhill clinic. My doctor doesn't take my concerns seriously and it's made my health, livelihood and enjoyment of life worse. I don't even think he's aware of the role social workers. The front desk is unprofessional and untrained. The "security" guard is on her phone all the time.

Their staff and service is top notch. I’ve had check ups and outpatient procedures done here with local anesthesia and they are so caring and gentile. I can’t say enough about their bedside manner. Great folks at Denver Health!

Just got kicked off of Colorado Medicaid but I still had a Dr. appointment at Park Hill Clinic to renew a cheap generic thyroid drug. It went something like this: PHC - Your Medicaid has been terminated. Would you like to self pay? Me - Yeah OK. How much? PHC - I don’t know. Me - Well do you have a price sheet? Do you charge by the hour or per appointment? PHC - Only per appointment but we don’t know how much. Me - So it could be $10,000.00 or $5.00 and there’s just no way to know at all? You just want me to pay whatever? PHC - No way to know. You wanna self-pay? Me - Forget it. Just cancel all of it. Healthcare in the US is outrageously expensive. Partly b/c these shady, greedy, fake clinics like Park Hill want you to blindly self-pay whatever invoice they create with no information whatsoever in advance about what you are buying nor how much it might even possibly cost. Would you buy a car like that? Would you buy a house if the seller refused to tell you what the price is? I wouldn’t even buy a cheeseburger if I didn’t know how much. Even seedy, corrupt pay day loan places can tell you what you owe before they take it out of your check. Park Hill Clinic cannot even meet that low standard. Medical debt is the most common type of bankruptcy in the US. Already squarely positioned in one of the most precarious socioeconomic areas in the whole of Colorado, Park Hill Clinic does all they can to ensure that’s true by selling rip-off, fake self-pay appointments. Park Hill's fake self pay option exacerbates an already very serious American problem. Don’t help Park Hill Clinic blindly put Coloradans into medical bankruptcy. Demand price transparency at Park Hill Clinic right now or stay out of Park Hill Clinic. ******* The clinic responded below with their main generic phone number already in my contacts and some garbage about billing being hassle free. I wrote the longest review of this clinic and I did not mention anything about any hassle at all. Dear “Owner” if I call the number below will there be any prices? You know like when you buy something? Will they provide the TRANSPARENCY which was the entire subject of my post? Or is this another fake, no prices healthcare buffet?

I remember when this clinic was first built in the 90s, and before it moved into the new facility Park Hill clinic was in a run down shopping center. My primary care doctor was assigned to Park Hill until she went to another clinic. I have fond memories of this clinic and it's staff as professional and courteous.
