Review Summary
Denver Health received 73.0% positive feedback, with patients praising the compassionate staff and effective medical care. However, 27.0% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing long wait times, rude staff, and billing issues. Overall, the hospital provides great patient care, yet it needs improvement in customer service and administrative efficiency.ScoreDoc Score

List of Denver Health's Reviews
I always receive great service and it’s affordable, it feels like the staff all enjoy there jobs.
Denver health has gone down the tubes and I will not go again. WEnt to Urgent Care. Urgent CAre referred me to Gastroenterology for colonoscopy. Instead of making an appointment for a colonoscopy, Urgent CAre makes me/you the patient make the appointment. Called to make the appointment and was told that Gastroenterology cancelled my referral. Phone person could not see why it was cancelled. WAs transferred to Urgent Care, they could not see record, transferred me to some Southwest Nursing - where no one answers the phone and its a repeating message if you dont have an extension. I did not have an extension. Wasted my insurance money going to Denver health Urgent Care. 10 yrs ago they took care of your problem in a day. they called specialists in, you waited for several hours sometimes. but they took care of you. now the right hand transfers you to the left and back around in a circle for zero results. How long do they think I can run around with a colon that is not functioning? I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
the waiting time in the E.R is ridiculous. no sense of urgency when really needed.
I spent a week inpatient purely because they said that my surgery wasn't priority over anyone who had theirs scheduled as an outpatient procedure. I was told that the way the hospital works is that admitted patients are ad-ons and, since I was unable to go home without my surgery I continually got stuck in here because I would get "bumped" from the list that day. At other hospitals, being an add-on has caused me to be delayed during the day etc. But at Denver Health I was fasting at midnight every night for several days, only to be told an hour or two before I was set to go down that my surgery was cancelled because there was an "emergency" from the ER or something. They would never add me to the actual schedule because I was inpatient, and therefore HAD to be an add on. It was a terrible experience. On top of staying far longer than was necessary due to the unfair scheduling situation (profits over people, much?) They cut most of my regular at home medication in half, including medication that keeps my electrolytes stable. I had several preventable medical events while I waited for them to give me my surgery. My morning huddles were lead my a junior doctor who continually told my team false information that I needed to correct. Literally he said the opposite things that my specialists had been saying to me the day before at my bedside. I complained about this and he never was removed from my case or stopped being a problem. This stay was awful and there was little good in it. If you have any other place you can go, then I wouldn't recommend coming here. You only get one life. Take care of you.EDITED TO ADD: Since there's no place to reply to the response I just received I edited my review to add that YES. The patient advocate contacted me ONE time while I was inpatient at the hospital. She was supposed to respond to me within twenty-four hours and I didn't hear back for three days. The initial call I made was during business hours on a MONDAY. The Advocate told me to wait by the phone because she would call me right back when she straightened some things out. No second phone call was ever received either in the hospital, or since I have returned home. I don't consider that "in communication with the patient advocate" but again, I had a terrible time here and can't recommend this hospital. My original review stands.
I've been seen here since end of February for my miscarriage/dnc. Womens care here is trash. Emergency care is trash. I had a positive pregnancy test with consistent heavy bleeding and sat in the ER waiting room for 4 hours before I was seen and was even attempted to be turned away until I stated I wouldn't be leaving until an ultrasound was given or we could rule out an ectopic. I've had weekly standing blood draws, and MULTIPLE times I been told that I 'don't have an order' for a blood draw, and need to have the doctors that I speak with weekly to fill the order. I've sat in the Pav C waiting room with women of pregnant women of all stages for 4 HOURS one day in women's care after being told to come in early due to a day of cancelations (day of projected snow storm back in March) to get a round of methotrexate shots (if you dont know what this means, be grateful) only to be told while being seen that "I seem a little unhappy, and behavioral services will be calling me".... I'm still leveling HCG today- months later, get called to come in for another blood draw, and still get told upon arriving that there's nothing appointed to me. go anywhere else for OB/any women's care. Seriously.
I ask the nurse how much longer I had to wait?. She said 4 hours I told her I had a direct adm to Which her response was we don't have you here waiting
went in for liver pain 5/15/21, 10:30am to 8:pm The doctor confirmed I had arsenic poisoning, verified my liver feels better with pressure, confirmed I had dry mouth, decaying teeth, dry skin with pigmentations & associated it with being poisoned over a period of time, on top of that he never put me on an I.V., ordered a blood draw to further dry me up. Just to tell me everything is healthy. I have X-rays of my liver that shows scar tissue all over it. I was given Gadolinium dye by Dr Wang BCH which causes kidney failure. He's also the Asian doctor that did this to my liver from a separate injection. I complained about my kidneys, lower back, & knees hurting, my urine smells like rotting meat. I have other reviews of these tic's just wanting to suck the blood out of me! It's just to see how much time I have left & accelerate the drying. Explains no IV. They kept me there until 8:pm & didn't give me any medicine to flush out poisoning, no med for my dry mouth, no med for lack of ability to produce saliva & no med for my pain! Usually if there's nothing wrong with a person they get them out of the hospital to make room for someone in the waiting room, or clear a room for a real emergency! YanJing supply sells herbal medicine on York St is the one that poisoned me & in a joint effort these assassins aided them. That's what happens when a dead beat state doesn't want to pay you the $365 Million they owe you! I still feel pain in my liver & intestines. There's always a reply from the institution but nothing ever happens. Then deny me all requests for records & transcripts. To prove they left poisons in my body!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! This is the worst hospital ever!!!!! The wait for appointments is months long. I am a cash pay patient and they are charging me for 2 CTScans that they never did! When the patient advocate got involved cardiology said the scans were done but because they forgot to tell me they would discount the price. A big machine is required for a CT scan. I was not in the machine and there are no results posted on my chart. I have been lied to by Denver Health. What a very dishonest hospital. I wonder how many people have been charged for procedures that have never been done.
There is not one occasion I have had a good experience calling the appointment phone number. The recording are redundant, and the operator was surly, and apathetic. I could hear the contempt in his voice, and I have been hung up on more than one occasion.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
