Worst experience ever, I never want to be seen there again... make you wait a hour for your appointment. BS if you ask me. I will be going somewhere else from now on
Terrible place, 2000$ for pink eye. Won't work with u. Will sue u n garnish your wages. Go anywhere else but this greedy hospital. University, pink eye 50$ n ten x more medication.
TLDR, I took my son in for a stomach ache (led to believe it was urgent care) and got a $2500 emergency bill. I took my son for a stomach ache one morning to the pediatric urgent care. The name of the clinic is "Pediatric Emergency Department and Urgent Care at Denver Health." I had called on the way and the person told me that in the middle of the night, it's ER services but switches over to urgent care at 7 AM. We arrived just after 7 AM. He had a stomach ache so they gave him an ibuprofen, tested his urine, and tested him for strep. They didn't tell us anything or diagnose him, or make him feel better. They released us. The bill is 2,435.95. The majority of this cost is the emergency visit level III, which is $2265 and is a bogus charge because a.) we were led to believe we would be billed urgent care prices, not ER prices, and b.) upon looking further into this, they can choose whether it's an "emergency" at their discretion. I disputed this with the company and they said it would be escalated to a higher department. They never got back to me on the charges and instead sent it to collections agencies. Each time I receive a letter I have to explain their error, and have sent certified letters to both the collection agency and the hospital. I've said that I'd pay the normal charges, which amount to about $200 and would be a normal charge for bringing your child to urgent care for a stomach ache (especially since they didn't do anything major). But they keep saying their hands are tied, talk to the collections agency, who says their hands are tied. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

This is my experience & opinion RE: Denver Health ER. Felt like I was @ D.I.A. because of the double security checks. I have some very serious debilitating health issues which have become much worse. Unfortunately I wasted 4 hours there. The doctor finally showed up. In the middle of our conversation, her phone rang. She took off for over an hour. I was told by another employee I needed to sign discharge papers. But I said our conversation wasn't finished. After lots more waiting, the Dr. finally came back. She told me basically there was nothing they could do for me! I asked if she would @ least check some areas there's concern about. I really felt like I inconvenienced her w/that. They basically did nothing for me. No medicine, etc. However, they did give me a work/school excuse letter. Saying I could return to work in 2 days (LOL?). I feel like a dead person existing. I'm also elderly, in a wheelchair, very disabled, no longer have quality of life & I certainly cannot work or go to school! Sure~I really felt valued, listened to, cared for @ Denver Health....NOT!
I had a terrible experience at denver health. They had extremely long waiting times for each step of the emergency visit and as the staff were extremely unhelpful
Staff was super respectful and comforting.
When you walk in, with the locked door and security, it looks concerning but inside, nice facility, good people, very efficient and excellent care.
Incredible experience. The doctors were so helpful and made the process very easy. I appreciate it greatly and look forward to returning!
I give it 2 stars, I have had a few good experiences but they are overshadowed by lack of professionalism, disregard to time management, long wait times and blatant confusion between departments. Just another Denver company trying to make a buck, You say it's unacceptable? Stand in line at your outpatient pharmacy, Go to your ER one night, go to your immunization clinic and see how backwards they are. Yeah I agree with you, totally unacceptable. Now try fixing it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
