Ashby is a con-artist. I am a physician (M.D.) now. I saw Ashby while I was in medical school using a Groupon. He tried to convince me I needed 2 crowns and 5 fillings for about $7000 and that he would happily set me up with a payment plan. I went to a 5280 top Dentist who is a family friend. Our family friend dentist said I wouldn't need the crowns for another 10-15 years and that I only needed two filling and the other 3 that would re-mineralize with fluoride toothpaste because they were so small. Ashby is an embarrassment to the healthcare community

Dr. Ashby was professional and does good work. I liked his hygienists, they did a great job. I was highly disappointed with his front of office staff though- the front desk rescheduled me for three appointments in a row and went so far as to reschedule an appointment that I never confirmed and then called to tell me I missed it. I had a difficult time with billing as well. I was frustrated that I never received a break down of costs or a remaining balance on my insurance, even after asking for it several times prior to having a procedure done. When I canceled the procedure (because they didn't provide an itemized bill) I was told that my money would be fully refunded. I am still waiting for that refund (was told it would be refunded over a month ago). If scheduling and billing were a minor part of the patient experience I would highly recommend Dr. Ashby, but unfortunately they are pretty important and I would recommend you save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
