Dr. Medina is an outstanding surgeon who knows his specialty like no other. I trusted him with my life and he did a tremendous job. If you need a hernia repaired or other internal problems fixed see him. Also, the care provide at St. Joe’s Hospital is like no other. There process getting patients ready for surgery is amazing. Thank you, Dr. Medina and thank you to the St. Joe’s medical family. Thank you all for your service.

Dr. Medina is fast, to the point, very knowledgeable. I am so glad I found his office after having 4 years of resistance. Had my surgery at the Surgical Center and had an excellent care experience, there are very few facilities like this and I highly recommend. Had a small hernia that was disabling, had very little pain from surgery but he relieved very bad pain that was radiating over my entire abdominal area. You couldn't ask for a better staff or doctor. So grateful!

I am so glad that I met Dr. Medina! Dr. Medina repaired an inguinal hernia of mine on November 5, 2020. The entire experience from the first phone call, to the surgery and then the recovery was A+! I am 6 weeks post surgery and I feel great. Dr. Medina was very thorough in explaining my injury, answering all of my questions, and very decisive on the best method to repair it. Dr. Medina's assistant, Jennifer, was also fabulous to deal with! Jennifer took charge of all of the required surgical paperwork, including dealing with my insurance company, along with scheduling. I also want to recognize Dr. Medina's colleague, Dr. David Lee, the anesthesiologist for my procedure. Dr. Lee called me the day before the surgery, and even e-mailed me after the surgery, to see how I was doing. I highly recommend Dr. Medina for any hernia surgical repair!!

He did a bilateral inguinal repair. Needed left side revision 4 years later, done by Medina, now right side is reopening and revision side is reopened as well. Also this doctor lied about his use of out of network providers in his practice, when asked directly if he did.

2 failed inguinal hernia repairs (one initial, and one revision) from this provider. Also billed for out of network assistant charges, which he did not reveal when asked prior to surgery.

I developed a non-painful inguinal hernia early last year. My doctor told me if it gained in size, to consult a hernia surgeon. My wife found Dr. Medina and suggested I make an appointment. He noted it was enlarging and recommended surgery. Pre-op and post-op teams were excellent. The surgery was a complete success; residual pain and irritation was gone within four days after surgery and has not returned. It has been a month since the operation and I can't say enough about Dr. Medina, his assistant, Jennifer, and the hospital staff that attended me. I would highly recommend Dr. Medina to anyone seeking hernia surgery. Excellent is the only word that defines his expertise and doctor-to-patient input, before and after the procedure.

After 2 failed hernia operations by other doctors, I was referred to Dr. Medina and he repaired my double hernia and I was able to go home the same day. He is the best doctor for difficult hernia repair. I am 81 years of age and thanks to Doctor Medina, I have no more pain .

Truly a wonderful surgeon. Took the time to go over my past medical issues, listened to my surgical concerns, cared that I needed his help to get back to my normal active life. I will recommend him over and over again!!! He and his staff are one of a kind!!

One of the best doctors I have ever seen. Very proficient in his expertise, he listens to the patient!!, very good follow up care, great reputation amongst his peers within the teaching facility at st Joseph's. He did in one surgery what others surgeons have told me would take at least two. I had a very difficult time finding a surgeon who was qualified to perform my surgery until I met him and his staff.
