every time I go, everyone is very nice with me. All the procedures are clear and well informed. The team always resolve my doubts with very good disposition, and the information that the center provides is very helpful for all the pregnancy process

Hard working staff!

I’ve never had such a positive healthcare experience as with Metro OBGYN! As a first time expecting mom the doctors and staff have been so thorough, attentive, and generous. I’ve seen Dr. Barnes primarily and had rotations with Dr. Nguyen and their NP - all phenomenal. I particularly appreciate how they’ve supported the full birth prep process with resources and referrals - talking to other moms in my labor classes I’ve shared information (like hospital tours, lactation groups, etc) that Metro made me aware of and that other OB practices hadnt shared with their patients. Cannot recommend enough!

Zero trauma informed care. Do not go here for IVF pregnancy after loss. After 2 years of infertility, multiple losses, and IVF, it was a really big deal for my husband and I to graduate from our IVF clinic and have our first OB appointment. Dr. Strubel-Lagan started our appointment by telling us she didn’t read any of my medical records, explaining that she used to read records before appointments, but too many patients didn’t show up. My IVF medical records are 150 pages, and she didn’t read 1 page. She also didn’t ask me to summarize my complex IFV history. I have an IVF therapist, and Dr. Strubel-Lagan told me that I needed to find a new therapist because “while IVF is stressful, you’re pregnant now,” even though most IVF therapists are trained in pregnancy and post-partum because a lot of IVF patients end up pregnant - that’s the whole point of IVF. The only substantial information she provided about our ultrasound is that we now had a 5% chance of miscarriage. She told me that being 36 has risks, and IVF has risks, and "when you combine them together it’s some unknown exponential risk," but she could not tell me the actual risk percentage for it, or for any other potential complications due to age/IVF. Dr. Strubel-Lagan told me not to open our NIPT results until the OB office was open so I could call a nurse about the results. She said, “the results would say ‘abnormal boy’ or ‘normal boy,’” - in that particular order. She made it seem like we should expect abnormal results, even though we did PGT-A testing for normal chromosomes during IVF. What she said about the results is not even true, the NIPT results say, ‘high risk’ or ‘low risk’ not abnormal/normal. Dr. Strubel-Lagan said things to the effect of, “we just have to get you past a few milestones and then you can feel joy in your pregnancy,” and, “the goal is to get you to a point where you can walk around feeling like a normal pregnant person,” and “one day you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.” That's when I started sobbing. There were no tissues in the exam room, so my husband had to hand me a paper towel. My husband and I had already gone through so much just to make it to this 10-week appointment, and I was being told to expect that my pregnancy wasn't going to go well until some unknown future checkpoint. Then and only then could I feel joy. She made it seem like all the PGT-A and PGT-M testing we had done during IVF wasn’t going to make a difference. While I was still crying, Dr. Strubel-Lagan palpated my stomach without asking if she could touch me there. In response to my emotions, she asked me a few times if I had any more questions and left the room. I then went to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face and when I came out, Dr. Strubel-Lagan's nurse was standing in the hallway with my husband. She asked us if we wanted to know the gender on our NIPT results. The nurse did not offer to take us back into the exam room for some privacy. I was embarrassed to be crying in the middle of the hallway. I just wanted to get out of there, so I said fine. My husband and I did not get the opportunity to discuss if we wanted to know our baby’s gender. I was still crying while getting my bloodwork drawn for the NIPT test. The lab tech asked me if I was sad, I said no, I was frustrated. She asked me, “Is this your first?” I told her it’s my third pregnancy - our first live birth. She fell silent and didn’t say anything else. I was still crying at check-out and so my husband had to book all my appointments for me at the front desk. As we were leaving the office, I asked my husband how he felt after seeing Dr. Strubel-Lagan and he said he "certainly didn't have any warm fuzzy feelings" and that "all of his hope and optimism was gone." I was so upset by the entire experience that I spent the rest of the day crying at home. A week ago, I called the front desk to ask if I could speak to an office administrator and nobody called me back. We decided to transfer to a different OB office and are not coming back to this office.

Very professional warm and welcoming staff. Dr Cowan was extremely personable and listened to all my conference. I felt very seen and heard.

Dr. Bevan is so kind and gentle. She is thorough. After a breast cancer diagnosis last year, I get so much anxiety going to the doctor. She walks me through every procedure carefully, answering my questions with gentleness and thoroughness. I love that she gives me my options and respects my decisions.

first of all, do not share your medical history by checking in online. They told me at the desk that this does not get transferred them. Where did it go? as far as I can tell, this is a pretty big HIPAA violation and the only solution I got was they were going to talk to their supervisor - whatever that means. When I explained to the doctor, how nervous I was, and how confusing a lot of of the other OB/GYN’s have been in my past she just ended up confusing me even more and basically arguing with me. I ended up in tears and having to walk out because of how uncomfortable I felt from the doctor and the office in general. Amy was lovely, but the rest were horrible and I will never go back. I do not recommend going to this doctor or this establishment if you want to be listened to and to keep your medical records safe.

I have been a patient with Metro Ob/Gyn for over 3 years! I work with Laura Waters who is so wonderful. I moved out of state and back, and actually received a phone call from Metro's office asking if I wanted to book an appointment since it had been so long. They checked my new insurance for me and all, and this made the process of re-establishing medical care so easy. I had my first appointment back with them today. I go to their Rose Medical Center office now because of where I live (I liked their West Highlands location, too), and their office is in a beautiful new building. I had the first appointment of the day because of my work schedule and every single staff member and provider was so warm, welcoming, and friendly. They moved quickly and efficiently, without jeopardizing quality of care. They checked my full history and my emotional wellbeing, and updated all my new records for me. I felt well taken care of and enjoyed meeting Laura's student NP, too. She will make a fabulous NP! I highly recommend Metro Ob/Gyn!

Dr Moore is wonderful… knowledgeable, detailed, professional, and personable. The office staff was helpful, respectful, and considerate of my time as well.

I’ve been under Dr.Alexandervic’s care for the past 11 years. I don't know what I would do without her. She demonstrates compassion, is welcoming and knowledgeable. She's truly a gem.
