In early 204, I suffered a fall in an Arizona restaurant due to a wet floor. The following day, at a follow-up with my Arizona primary care physician, she discovered a heart murmur while examining my injuries. An ECG was promptly scheduled. The results revealed severe aortic stenosis (AS), necessitating an urgent cardiologist consultation. I recognized that many AS symptoms mirrored those of PD—fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, and diminishing stamina, now compounded by chest pain. I hadn't realized there was another issue with potentially more immediate severe consequences. My research quickly confirmed the gravity of the situation. However, finding a solution in Denver proved challenging. My initial appointment with Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates in July left me optimistic about their team's suitability and understanding of my urgent needs. They were ready to conduct the necessary tests that would, hopefully, justify the need for a TAVR procedure. I am happy to report that Dr, Jeffrey Park MD, comprehensive heart expert, with special interest in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease, performed the TAVR procedure for me 11/13/2024 and that it was successful! Due to the non-invasive procedure, it only took about an hour and the healing process will be much shorter than conventional heart surgery. From the start, I was encouraged and impressed by Dr. Park's caring approach and obvious personal concern for my quality of life!! 🙏

AVOID THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY NARDOS! The front office is spectacular particularly Zack. The nurses are kind and helpful. They are 5 stars. I too saw Nardos Workneh NP. She is awful. I had to fight her tooth and nail to get an MRI for my abdomen after explaining to her my complex medical history. I was experiencing extreme exhaustion, shortness of breath, my mobility had rapidly decreased, I was in excruciating pain (throughout my shoulders, lower back, and shooting down my leg) and I had gained a lot of weight. Nardos told me I needed to lose weight (one of the symptoms that was a red flag for me and why I had come in, unexplained weight gain) and mocked my mental health. She was grossly unprofessional after the MRI results came in. She sat in front of me in the office not having looked at the results— shuffling papers and mispronouncing the majority of the medical terminology the radiologist had written on the MRI report. She was befuddled by simple diagnostic terms that I learned in my undergrad. She had no clue what was going on. She is uneducated and in way over her head. She completely missed the fact that the MRI showed a nodule on my thyroid (I have to see another specialist for that). And, guess what? I have a mass the size of a volleyball taking up the entirety of my abdomen. The mass is pressing on my spine which is why I am in so much pain and why I haven’t been able to walk more than 100 yards, or sit up straight for more than 15 minutes at a time. There is another mass behind my uterus as well the size of a baseball. The pain gets worse at night when laying down and I asked for something to help me sleep, she refused to help. She sat there gaslighting me and on our follow up phone calls. When I brought up to her having to fight tooth and nail for the MRI she tried to rewrite history saying it didn’t happen like that and, “well, we have results now.” She had the nerve to bring up a small gallstone that has not given me any issues (when there is a mass👏🏼taking👏🏼up 👏🏼the 👏🏼entirety 👏🏼of my 👏🏼abdomen and another behind my uterus). I once again told her I am unable to sleep because of the pain, I need a sleep aid, she refused. I did not want pain medication nor did I ask because they make me feel nauseous. But a sleep aid, during an incredibly complex and painful medical catastrophe… Nardos should not be in the medical field. I too brought up wanting to see a real doctor and not some nurse practitioner that has no clue what she is doing or the mental bandwidth/intelligence to work with patients, I was told you cannot switch within the practice. I was given ambien by the oncologist gynecologist I am now seeing and was offered pain medication because they are ACTUALLY taking this incredibly complex and dangerous health situation seriously. They didn’t see me as some joke or number but as an actual person going through a serious health crisis. I am having an emergency surgery with the oncologist to remove the multiple masses, they also have to remove my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. And, I am lucky that I haven’t died. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO NARDOS. She should have her license taken away, she should not work in the medical field, and is an absolute joke of a nurse practitioner. She is the exact reason why nurse practitioners are given a bad name. She does not see her patients as people, she will gaslight you, you will be treated with no respect or regard for your life, you will be treated like you are some kind of hypochondriac. She will brush off your symptoms. You’ll be told to lose weight and guess what? It’s kind of hard to lose weight when you have a multiple masses taking up the entirety of your abdomen. Nardos, I hope you read this and you too can’t sleep at night for a while over it and no one helps alleviate that issue.

Reception staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, I give them 5 stars! However, I am still waiting for a call back with my results one week later. I was informed they had been received on Tuesday of this week, and I am still waiting days later...... They may be understaffed, I am not sure, but waiting this long for results has me reconsidering if I want this to be my care clinic.

AVOID THIS PLACE! I saw Nardos Workneh NP at this location for an endocrinologist referral. I mentioned that I was having worsening fatigue and muscle weakness. She told me that I should diet and exercise my symptoms away! 6 months later, it turns out I've been severely iron deficient for months and I need multiple IV iron infusions to fix it. Exercise makes iron depletion even worse, so Nardos' "advice" was completely fatphobic and would have made my illness even worse. Nardos does not listen to her patients and will treat your concerns like they're frivolous or made up. When I requested to see a doctor instead, the front desk refused, saying that once you're the NP's patient, you can't change providers. They even refused to help me when I was having shortness of breath and severe hair loss. (I'm now a patient at UCHealth Family Medicine in Westminster. I have seen three different doctors at that location, and everyone on that team is great.) Avoid this place!

I’ve had really positive experiences here with providers who have left the practice within a year. Since then (2019) it’s been increasingly difficult to get in to see a new provider. The current NP/PA books 20 minute back to back appts and the front desk didn’t communicate this over the phone or tell me to reschedule, you CANNOT be late or you will not be seen. I imagine if you arrive on time it will be difficult to be seen as well if you need to do paperwork or have vitals taken.

They take your money mistakenly instead of going through your insurance, and then never answer the phones and they say things that aren't true at all so that you have to harass them for months on end. Please do not go here, find another provider. I've never experienced an office this bad in my life.

Their ER staff is more concerned with turning away drug seekers than treating people.

Phone system is crap. It shouldn't take 15 minutes and 4 transfers to find a patient. that is not even the major problem. The doctors do not actually care about their patients or their mental and health histories. It's evident that this facility only cares about money as they disregard any concerns from not only family but the patients they are supposed to be taking care of. The patients well being and their mental health are put on the back burner because patients are just dollar signs to them.

Got a Covid test for an upcoming trip, still awaiting results but experience has been easy so far. Marisol was assisting during the test and was great.
