List of Howard D Weinberger's Reviews
Saw Weinberger two years ago for palpitations, didn't order basic tests like cholesterol, thyroid, or echocardiogram, but did order a super weird test, and then said I was fine. Had a pulmonologist order tests, including an echocardiogram this year. Weinberger was the cardiologist who reviewed the results and said stage II diastolic dysfunction.
Great experience with Dr. Weinberger. He is very thorough, extremely caring, and explains things to a layman extremely well. He also LISTENS! (a great attribute!). I have felt extremely fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Weinberger! I'm in extremely good hands!
Dr Weinberger doesn't seem to be the right fit for those that need a cardiologist who deals with unusual or complicated heart issues. I found him to be totally dismissive rather than digging down to figure out how he might offer expretise. Perhaps he simply doesn't have any. I would not reccomend this dr or National Jewish for cardiology. I think Nat'l Jewish is the best place for Lungs - not hearts. Go elsewhere.
Dr. Weinberger is a nice man but he is a victim of our medical system where he spends most of your short visit with his back to you typing and updating medicines in the computer, which probably should be done by assistant prior to his arrival. With traditional cardiac issues I think he’s probably fine but anything that requires a little bit out of the box thinking he doesn’t seem to have time for. He’s very dismissive and demeaning if you bring up questions that are not part of his purview.
This man is smart and he cares. He's the kindest doctor I've met since coming to Colorado. He's thorough too, and I feel very relaxed and taken care of. I was afraid to go, afraid he might be arrogant or not willing to help. But he was just wonderful. I will recommend him to all my friends. And NJH runs like a well-oiled machine. The staff is kind and helpful. It was a great experience. If you have to be ill, go to Dr. Weinberger.
Doesn’t look at the issue just refers you want to others. I left Dr. Weinberger’s office wondering why I was there. He spent my entire visit referring me elsewhere rather than looking at my issues and discussing them with any kind of concern. He seem totally uninterested. Will never return
Very few care givers take the time to explain what your situation is quite as thoroughly as Dr. Weinberger. I have been seeing him for six years and I always know what is going on, what it means and what my options are. Cardiac issues are very scary and it helps to have all the information possible. I am currently and plan to continue under his care as long as my issues persist.
Great doctor. Diligent, thorough, caring. Having him as my cardiologist during a week a NJH has been a very positive experience.
He could not have been more helpful, considerate or thorough. He spent a lot of time explaining every detail patiently and calmly. Highly recommend him.
Fantastic. Well known cardiologist who went out of his way to do a thorough examination. Did tests other docs wouldn't and as a result found things others didn't. Excellent!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
