List of Lower Highlands Dermatology's Reviews
Very professional from the front desk to the doctor. Has taken great care of my skin for over 20 years! I have recommended Dr. Carretero to family and friends who all have been happy with her care.
I’ve been going here for years and really appreciate the staff here. Dr. Carretero is friendly and remembers our conversations so it always feels welcoming when I come in.
Best in the business. I’ve been a client for 17 years!
Choose a different dermatologist. There are much better ones in Denver than Lohi Dermatology. Dr. Carratero and her receptionists are extremely rude and unhelpful. Every product they gave me made my skin worse. They gave me chemical burns and rashes. Finally, I switched to a new office, Clearview Dermatology. After just one month, they had put me on accutane and my skin was improving. I had begged to go on accutane when I was at Lohi Dermatology, and they flat out told me “no” without much reason. They wasted my money, and months of my time with products that were never going to help my cystic acne. I wish I had switched offices sooner. Now, my skin is perfect, and I haven’t had a pimple in months. Thanks to clearview dermatology. Before switching over, Lohi dermatology had ruined my skin.
should have listened to the previous reviews. literally made an appointment twice and it was never schedule. they got me in last minute. then I get there and they made me refill out all of the paperwork and submit insurance cards I had already done online to save time. had to leave never even saw the Dr. so ridiculous I'm kind of in just disbelief.
The abilities of the front office staff are a joke. It has happened to me twice that I made an appointment at this location, and it was never scheduled on their end. I was having to call and confirm my own appointment, and there was nothing in their schedule for me. This dermatologist needs to revamp the front office staff before she loses more patients. And by the looks of the other reviews, I'm not the only one.
Very rude customer service.
I honestly never write reviews but I just had the most unpleasant experience and after reading the many one star reviews, I think the dermatologists that own this practice should reconsider who they have selected to represent them in front. I was phoned a day or two before my appointment because they had to reschedule and it was such an extremely rude phone call, I wasn't looking forward to my visit today but to no surprise, I was welcomed with the same flippant and coarse attitude I received over the phone. Rude vatas
I will not be going back here. Dr. Carretero was not friendly or professional. She seemed to have made up her mind about what was going on within the first few seconds of seeing me and was extremely condescending when answering any questions I had. I felt rushed through the appointment and like her primary concern was getting me in and out as quickly as possible, rather than providing me with good care.
Dr Carretero is an example of what doctors should be but often aren’t.. she was kind, considerate, made me feel very comfortable and took enough time with me to be sure that all my questions were answered. Great bedside manner! I feel so fortunate to have her for my doctor!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
