MIdtown Inpatient Medicine's Online Review Report Card

I take great pleasure in writing a review of Dr Shabnam Khoie, DO, on behalf of my wife, Sherry. In her role as a hospitalist at SCL, Dr Khoie visited my wife several times during her hospital stay. As a component of my wife's in-house follow-up care after two recent surgeries, Dr Khoie offered clear, concise and professional medical advice and assistance. Dr Khoie was empathic, compassionate and reassuring regarding my wife's long term recovery and extremely comforting to her throughout her hospitalization. On a personal level, I was often present during Dr Khoie's visits, so I can speak knowingly and assuredly of her dedicated work ethic. commitment to the practice of medicine and her outstanding reputation among medical staff at SCL. Her positive outlook, gracious sense of humor and overall disposition are attributes recognized by those she comes in contact with routinely.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY HAVE TRIED TO BILL ME FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT AGREE TO!!!

Two doctors from this group treated me during a recent hospitalization. Dr. Michal Kazimir was excellent, explained the approach to care clearly and made sure my questions were answered. Dr. Marcus Oginsky could not have been more different. He was incredibly patronizing. I had to assert myself to even get a chance to ask any questions with him, which he would then ignore and fail to answer. He did little more than blame me for the complications that landed me in the hospital, tell me the basics of what he was doing (without answering questions about it), and even felt the need to bad mouth my insurance company in the process. It was bad enough that I had to tell the hospital staff I would not accept further treatment from him, and wanted another doctor. He may know medicine, but that doesn't accomplish much when he doesn't have the capacity to treat patients with even a modicum of basic human decency.
