New West Physicians's Online Review Report Card

Well, here we go...I scheduled an appointment this morning when they opened (oh and they say open at 7:30am but phones don't actually open until 8am...this little fun fact makes no sense and should be made known to patients) because I have a swollen gland in my armpit and it's creating pain in my chest. They were kind enough to get me scheduled same day but failed to mention that if I have any symptoms of COVID, that without a negative test within 72hrs, they'll refuse treatment. None of this was disclosed prior to me showing up and after sharing the three symptoms of the exhaustive list of COVID symptoms which could also be symptoms of about a million other things, they refused to see me and refused to provide medical attention which is mind boggling! There was never even a question about being vaccinated, which I absolutely 100% am! So now what? I have to go to urgent care or the hospital to get treatment? Is it even legal or ethical to turn away a patient when capacity exists to offer support? Unreal! Find another doctor!

Tried to charge me $266 for a five minute phone call to get my prescription refilled. Said I spent 30+ minutes on a telehealth visit with my Dr. even though she couldn’t figure out the technology and ended up having to call me. 5 minute prescription refills shouldn’t be almost $300. Probably won’t be back.

Was excited to come here to get some serious health issues figured out. Made an emergency appointment yesterday with the receptionist for this morning at 7:30am. I wait in the hallway until 7:32 and pop my head in the door. (Covid restrictions makes you wait outside) and the lady really said “we don’t do 7:30 appointments, it was at 7:20am and now we’re longer able to see you” LOL WHATThey sent me a $250 no show bill two weeks later. Will never be back.

After 8 months working away from here, retiring and switching to Medicare, I wondered how things would be compared to my many years of excellent care from Dr. Metros and New West. All is well! Easy to get my appointment, service and medical expertise were provided with great care and empathy.

Vickie at the Rose Medical center office of New West Physicians is a wonderful person.  Every time I call she is able to assist me.

Since my insurance changed, I had to choose a new provider. I am very relieved and happy to say that I am quite satisfied with my experience!The front desk team were doing their best to meet the demands of new protocols due to Covid-19. They are doing a great job.The physician’s assistant who brought me back to the exam area was outstanding! Her compassion and professionalism deeply impressed me.Dr. Raechel O’Kelley was everything I hoped for in my PCP. I was there for my annual physical exam. I’m 62 and there was a lot of medical history to relate to her. She was thorough and took the time to explain when I had questions.And my lab technician Sha’ was excellent as well!Thank you all!

Dr. O'Kelly is the best. She takes time to talk to you about life, work, exercise, mental health, social life, etc. I feel very comfortable in her care!

The medical staff was great. They took the time to listen, and provided excellent care and follow-up. I highly recommend the medical staff.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Metros and his staff. He is extremely caring and patient, and always makes a point to work in a collaborative way with his patient. He is the best!Front desk people are very responsive and always pleasant. Sean and the other assistants/nurses are great. The office is always clean and makes you feel at ease.10 out of 10!!
