A joke! They hurt more people then they help. Very disappointing all the way around and Im being nice!
This place has been nothing but helpful to me. I think if you have a severe problem, your best bet is the ER. Dr Conger is very empathetic, diplomatic, and not quick to push meds. The guy at reception remembers me, is friendly and also compassionate. They've been one of three mental health facilities for me in Denver (the other two I tried regarding therapy), and they're my favorite to deal with thus far.
So I'm really bad at long stories so I'll try to just give the bullet points. So I was a patient here very briefly. So my visits went like this. I unload my problem and get diagnosed. I'm put on meds. These are strong meds givin to me after a 40 minute appointment to meet me for the first time. So I use there pharmacy to fill the script they just gave me. The pharmacist then begins to freak out over the way my prescription is written, the dosage it's written for, and the way it's broken up and supposed to be taken. It was extremely odd and very offputting. It's nerve-racking enough to take these kinds of meds but to have the pharmacist himself acting like he had never encountered these medications or this issue before was just horrifying. So I get home and begin to take the medicine. After 10 days I go into a psychotic episode from the meds. I proceed for the next five days, eight phone calls, 4 voice messages try to get a hold of anyone at this place, not just my doctor but simply anyone to help me and give me guidance of what I should do with these meds. After all the calls and voicemails I finally get a hold of a nurse who barely speaks English and assures me she will ask the doctor for me. Several hours go by And i finally get a phone call that simply says stop taking the meds. No follow up nothing more than that just stop. It took me months to crawl back up to just the depressed horrible self that I was before I ever stepped foot in this office. And last but not least the receptionist at this place looks and acts like he just got out of prison a few days ago. He is completely unprofessional, rude and bad at his job. I made an appointment with him, the appointment was over a month out so I waited and waited and waited. Four days before the appointment I get a phone call from him stating he made the appointment with the wrong doctor and that I would have to wait a month again before I could be seen. If I was hanging by a thread before and barley able to make it threw each day this place definitely cut the thread on me. My only goal coming here was to try and feel a little human again and try and come up with a reason for going on. This place took what little hope I had of ever feeling better and simply threw it in the trash. Thanks wellshire!
I haven't been a client for over two years, so I speak of how it was over two years ago assuming it hasn't changed much. It offers a variety of services. The basics are solid, I was happy with my psychiatrist and therapist. I wasn't happy with my first therapist, but that can take some trial and error for nearly everyone, but she seemed like a caring empathic and highly qualified person. The amazing thing about MHCD is how many other services they provide, I mean they will take you out to the gym and for ice cream once in a while. What 2succeed offers clients was amazing, there are so many classes and services there. They have employment specialists to help people find jobs. Oh and they even run a food bank and a mock thrift store to help people who have nothing get back on their feet. It does have it's issues and internal politics I disagreed with, but overall it's a great organization who are making a great difference in the lives of people with mental illness. I don't know if I can ever repay them for how much they helped me.
Matthew lake hawk Sarah arachabult and Camille I would like to give a special thank u for being such great people who actually care about people and their situations I highly recommend dealing with these individuals they are fantastic and treat u like you are family thank u all for treating my family the way u did dale martinez
I have seen Kim Konger for about a year now for my prescriptions. I have zero complaints about her as she is one of the best! The only thing that has bothered me about this place is there receptionists. They don't seem to last long and only a few have been friendly. I recently had an appointment that I scheduled over the phone and then came to find out it was never put in their system. As someone who has worked as a receptionist for over two years, I know handling these situations needs to be gentle. The receptionist looked at me like I was the one who messed up. She never apologized to me or anything. Kim Konger was much more customer service oriented about and said sorry. I am not asking for anyone to dote over me when I come in but just a little more friendliness could go a long way. Also, not assuming that the patients are the ones who mess up the schedule and to take some responsibility.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
