Dr. William Foutz has been my trusted doctor for many years. His knowledge, professionalism, care and compassion are exemplary. I am always amazed by the intuitive, intelligent and practical decisions he makes regarding my healthcare. Dr. Foutz has the experience and skills of a great doctor, but what sets him apart from others is his integrity and genuine concern to heal his patients. I highly recommend this gifted doctor.

I called and left 3 messages for him over the past week and neither he or his staff have called me back regarding my blood test. Had I known how little he cared about his patients, I would have gladly seen someone else. Unprofessional.

Flippant. Did not ask of pain. Did not personally look at urine sample.(It was extremely brown and opaque, his staff reported microscopic levels of blood)

I am a physician board-certified in emergency medicine and internal medicine. I was an emergency room director for 17 years and I am now the chief medical officer of a healthcare company. I have hired literally hundreds of physicians in my career. I have no professional relationship with Dr. Foutz and we not practice in the same communities. In other words, he is my personal physician only. All that said, he is the real deal. He takes an excellent history, makes a focused and appropriate physical exam, and formulates a comprehensive "differential" (the list of things that might cause your symptoms). He uses labs and other tests appropriately. Dr. Foutz prescribes judiciously. He spends an appropriate amount of time in his evaluation and explanations. His assistant, April, is very helpful. Follow-up after the visit with lab, test results and changes in the plan have been prompt. Dr. Foutz is a little dry, but he does have a sense of humor. When I moved to the Vail Valley I was very apprehensive about finding a good physician - Dr. Foutz has fit the bill.
