List of Ashleigh L Levison Md's Reviews
Diagnosed, scheduled, and performed surgery necessary to halt a detached retina which could have lead to a loss of vision in one eye. As of about a year of treatment, my eyesight in both eyes with correction is as it was before the detached retina was noticed. The doctor is also extremely forthright, and was excellent at elaborating on the details of the issue and care maintenance throughout the important "window" of the event.
She confirmed an earlier diagnosis and set me up with a colleague for surgery. Everything went smooth with Dr. Levison and she was as helpful as could be.
After I explained my concerns with steroid injections into my eye, and that since there was no predicted outcome ( better or worse ) . that this seemed like an experiment to me. So I refused this particular treatment. She then lost total interest in my case, as if the money for the injections was all she was interested in. Very cold and distant.
For 15 years I suffer from sharp pains on my right brain n red eyes right ear problems until a detach occur in my right eye DR Hovland notice something in my eye send me to DR Levison who confirm my disease was VKH by eliminating process she came to this determination beautiful work. Thank you
My mom has seen Dr. Levison for the past 18 months at the Golden Clinic. She is excellent in explaining the eye condition, the necessary treatment and the actual treatment. It has been a pleasure to have such an outstanding medical provider!
Dr Levison is clearly a highly intelligent and well educated doctor. However, her lack of empathy and nonchalant attitude during my evaluation visit was disconcerting. Once I decided to move forward with a procedure, she was done with me and no longer acknowledged my presence in the room, and instead only spoke with the nurse who was also present. I do not feel that I was given a chance to ask any follow up questions and as a result I feel very unprepared. In one regard I am comforted to have such a learned doctor helping me, but in the other hand I am very put off by the poor bed side manner. Treating your patient with empathy should be a basic courtesy a doctor gives their patient. We don't have to be best friends, but I shouldn't leave feeling unprepared for a surgery, no matter how minor or noninvasive it is. I was given zero information about down time or what to expect afterwards, which seems incredibly strange to me. The CRA practice website also does not contain any of this information either. I also don't understand how if the condition she was evaluating for was "not that serious" and that I could put off the procedure until it worsened, why once I decided to move forward with the procedure anyway that I needed to have it done within the next 1-3 weeks. This seems contradictory.

Quite competent, however she immediately made it quite clear there would be no interruption with patient input or comment. She proceeded with assessment and prognosis at rapid-fire speed! (Good thing I am from the NYC area and can understand fast talking, but not the abbreviations used.) This doctor needs to learn about patient-doctor relationship. I will not subject myself to her treatment ever again!
Dr. Levinson is amazing ! She explains problem very well, is very thorough with testing and highly knowledgeable. I have confidence that I truly saw a retina expert yesterday. She also listens. Can't say enough about her:)
Friendly and fairly knowledgeable. Referred me to a visual acuity specialist for more test.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
