Throws instruments around in the surgery room like a child when he's upset

Has a very poor bedside manner. All and all just rude.

Dr. Bracht was cordgial and caring. He took the time to figure out what was going on and explained it thoroughly. Answerd questions in an understandable manner. I saw Dr. Bracht while I was in the hospital. Although he had worked all day he stayed and performed my surgery at 10:30 pm and got done about 1:30 am ! Then he called the next morning about 8:15 to see how I was doing. Nuf said.

Had burst appendix mid Aug, sent to ER and Dr Bracht performed surgery that afternoon. He came in to ER to tell me what it was then met my husband and I up on floor where I was prepped. He told my husband he would call him as soon as he was finished. My husband had to leave to come home and feed mother. No one called him and he went back to hospital because he was getting worried. I was already in my room!After I was released a couple days later, I could not hold down the pills. It was on a Sunday and the doc on call told me not to take them. Two prescriptions were VERY important for me to take, one being an antibiotic. When I called Ruediger's office Monday, he told me not to take them if I couldn't hold them down without prescribing anything or having me come in! A couple of days later I was in pain again called Ruediger's office and the receptionist/secretary was telling me to get something else OTC for my stomach ache and diarrhea! I and went to see my primary and she said "they released you too soon" and she sent me back to ER. Developed an abscess and put in hospital again for 4 days for antibiotics.He came in a couple of times to "check" on me, but 2 other doctors "took over" and worked up a plan. I'm not sure he had anything to do with it.He has terrible bedside manners, seemed uncaring, unsympathetic.If you have a choice of doctor, especially for surgery, I would highly recommend you find someone else. Being in ER I didn't have a choice. I did not know him nor did I have time to check reviews. So I trusted him. Never again!

I came in to the ER with upper right quadrant pain. Learned it was a severe gallbladder attack. Being 18 weeks pregnant I was very scared to have surgery, he was kind and understanding. He explained all the options I had and the possible effects to my baby. I ended up getting my gallbladder out. He was great. My pregnancy is going good and I'm feeling much much better. He is not one to sugar coat things and honestly in that moment that's what my husband and I needed. He's a great guy and a great surgeon.
