Needed to have surgery to repair a hernia. Before the operation, Dr. Modanlou was very helpful in explaining what they surgery entail and what I could expect. The surgery itself was performed robotically. Virtually no pain following the surgery. Throughout the entire experience, Dr. Mondanlou was very friendly and never gave off the arrogant vibe that some surgeons do. I would definitely recommend anyone needing surgery to use Dr. Mondanlou.

Dr. Modanlou ("Dr.M") is an amazing surgeon with an equally amazing bedside manner. I had an emergency surgery, so while my wife spoke to Dr. M after the surgery and he explained in detailed, 'normal' language what he did and how everything went, my first in-depth interaction with Dr. M was at my post-surgery follow-up.He took the time to explain exactly what had been involved with the surgery, the Da Vinci robotic system that he used, what they found and how they approached things in my case, and all the time did so in a friendly, informative manner, ensuring I understood everything as he explained it. Nothing felt rushed or hurried, not did I feel like this was a chore for Dr. M. He genuinely cares about his patients, and is truly passionate about helping you understand as much information as you want to dive into. He also really understands the Da Vinci system, and can help assuage any concerns you might have regarding the use of the system - I can see why this will be the future direction for many surgeries.If you have any concerns at all just ask. Dr M. will talk to you like a real person (I know, what a concept!) to ensure that you are completely comfortable. You will be very happy that you selected him as your surgeon.

I found Dr. Modanlou on the internet because I needed surgery for my umbilical hernia. After almost 2 weeks I’ve almost forgotten that I had hernia surgery.The other reviews on here have all said it but it’s worth repeating! Dr. Modanlou is the best! His resume is superior and once you meet him you’ll find he’s also a super nice guy! Regardless if you’re surgery is routine or extremely complex you should consider Dr. Modanlou for your procedure.

Dr M & whole team were great. Highly recommend Dr. M (& his robot) if you need gallbladder removal!My story: Met Dr. M in hospital where he advised NOT to operate at that time due to my other complications. Yea, a surgeon who said “don’t operate”.I followed up with Dr. M later. Had some concerns about the robot. He clearly explained procedure, risks & expectations. He did this himself - not a nurse or staff person. Personal attn really helped my wife & I get comfortable. His team helped us understand costs & what would be our portion. Very transparent. Procedure @ Swedish was super smooth. Recovery has been seamless. This is Healthcare as it should be.
