List of Lori Gerar's Reviews
Dr. Gerard is an exceptional expert in her area. I'm very pleased with her care, follow-up and the overall professionalism in her office staff. She has been following my thryoid problems, detected a problem and researched it. Ended up I needed surgery, and everything worked out fine. I value her expertise and it's evident she is tops in her field. Highly recommend her!
I found Dr. Gerard to be the best endocrinologist I've found in Denver. She is very knowledgeable, professional and competent. She has followed my thyroid issues for about 3-4 years, and found a problem, which she diagnosed and referred me for very necessary surgery. Everything worked out well even during covid. I am extremely thankful that I have had Dr. Gerard as my doctor, "in my corner" so to speak.I see a patient who was dissatisfied below after reading a particular article. Sorry they had a complaint, but I absolutely did not have a single complaint. I have 15+ years experience in the medical field, and have worked with good doctors (and some not so good). Dr. Gerard is a wonderful doctor and this is a well-organized professional office. Dr. Gerard is following my medication dosage, they offer convenient video appts, in-house lab services, good online access, and the staff answers right away. Full service! And this is a very busy practice. Don't hesitate to get an appointment even though you have to wait for the date, let her help you, and take competent care of your medical needs. I highly recommend Dr. Gerard. I wouildn't go anywhere else.
She was condescending and rude
I saw Gr Gerrard about concerns over my Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and concerns over problems with T3. Dr Gerrard was half an hour late for the appointment. She offered no apology or explanation. She skimmed over the lab results I brought in, spent most of the time typing into her tablet, prescribed a thyroid supplement and a regular thyroid lab test. She told me that only special labs perform a T3 test. She instructed me to seek the advice of a Rheumatologist for my RA symptoms. And then she picked up her tablet and walked out. When emailed the portal with questions re T3 stating that information on the internet indicated that T3 tests, far from being unavailable, were usual and frequent. She was offended by my questions and instructed me to find another Endocrinologist. I have to thank Dr for this excellent suggestion. I found a Doctor who was patient, responsive, informative and professional, the polar opposite of Dr. Gerrard. This doctor ordered a full thyroid panel including T3.
I've been going to Dr. Gerard and Denver Endocrinology for years and have always received excellent care for Type II Diabetes. All members of the staff have been knowledgeable and friendly. The technology seems to be state-of-the-art. This is a very progressive organization that stays on top of new treatment trends and the introduction of new medications. I give the office and Dr. Gerard my highest recommendation.Note: I noticed that I was listed on Yelp as being in San Francisco. That's incorrect, and I'm not sure how it happened. I'm in Littleton, Colorado.
Sadly there seems to be weird reviews on this doctor. I have seen her for my thyroid issues and she is top notch! She found extra time in her schedule to give me a very thorough exam, ultrasound, lab tests and visit back in the room to go over everything. My thyroid was pretty complicated, and I was so very assured about my medical needs being met with Dr. Gerard. She is quite busy, and it takes a bit to get onto her schedule, but I'm convinced she is the best. Highly recommend Dr. Gerard for endochrinology.
THIS OFFICE SAVED MY LIFE
I saw Dr. Gerard many years ago for help with a thyroid issue. I had been on her waitlist for a long time but was so relieved when I got the call that she should could take me on as a new patient. It had been a year of getting nowhere with numerous other doctors. She was kind, more informative than anyone had been prior and she helped me in SO many ways. I can't thank her enough. I was lucky to have my thyroid issue work itself in the year to follow (as my issue was sort of an unusual reaction that wasn't a bigger underlying issue) without needing medication. So I don't see her anymore, but I do refer patients to her still. You'll be in great hands if you can get on her patient list. So definitely do!!
I'm so grateful for having Dr. Gerard as my doctor. She is not only an expert in her field but also very responsive. I have changed several doctors and now I feel I finally found the best doctor!
Dr Gerard needs to relearn Robbins on basic pathologic principles of metastatic thyroid cancer. She also needs a lesson on collaboration with other physicians because she specifically asked for a fight. Who does that? This is patient care not a schoolyard bully!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
