List of MImi Liu Md's Reviews
Dr. Liu cared for my mother for years. She's caring and extremely competent. Always interesting and interested. Highly recommend her.
She rushed in and out in less than 15 minutes to repair retina in my right eye. She was a little rough in opening my eye. She didn't explain anything and didn't answer questions. She was in a hurry to get to the next patient.
Dr. Liu rushed in and out. It was a follow up appointment after laser treatment of whole in my retina. She was rough in opening my eyes during the examine. Reluctant to spend any time answering questions. I only chose her because of 5 star rating. Disappointed and will ask for another doctor.
Very long waits. She double books all appointments. Not very cheap either. She tried to overbill me and said “don’t worry, your insurance will cover it”. I have a high deductible plan, so, no, it won’t. Fortunately, she worked with me to lower costs after that, but hard to trust someone who over bills if you have insurance.
Very professional.made me feel at ease with my problems
Dr. Liu is fine as a doctor. What she is also good at is OVERCHARGING FOR HER SERVICES!! I went to her as a followup to a detached retina surgery performed elsewhere. She did the followup to the follow up which was fine and told me everything was GREAT, HEALED and only needed to come back again for a "quick check" to make sure I was responding to the discontinuation of the drops I had been on. Came back and was told to dilate both eyes (completely unnecessary), which I declined, another $95 photo taken of my eye (same as last time 4 weeks earlier) and she did a very quick check and my bill WAS $390 for a "quick followup." I attempted to reach them on two occasions to dispute the bill, and received no response from them. I had my insurance company do the same and they were told I was charged for the services rendered. These charges were just a few dollars less than my new patient, initial visit charges. CLEARLY, their billing and communication stinks.
A superior physician wth sterling attributes professionally and personally. One can be certain that her care is the best possible and her concern and attention unwavering. Wendell Hatfield MD
Dr. Mimi Liu is the best. I say this because she has that rare but highly desired and elusive combination of skill, experience, education, attitude, “bedside manner,” positivity, friendliness, and more! I’ve been involved from the patient side with Dr. Liu for many, many years. Every single interaction has been exceptional. Not good. Not great. Exceptional. This includes everything from surgeries to in office treatments to regular office visits. I will restate: she’s the best.
Dr. Lui seems to really care about you as a person and has successfully performed 3 surgeries for three separate issues in my eye over a period of a few years. She is my eye doctor for life.
Dr. Mimi Liu has a remarkable blend of competence, ethics, kindness, and relatability. Few doctors as busy as she is can make a patient feel so totally seen, listened to, and cared about. I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
