Last weekend I ended up in the ER with what the Radiologist said was Volvulus, internal hernia and a bowel obstruction. I decided to have the ER consult with Dr Tillquist. I know if I had gone to any other hospital instead of Swedish they would have cut me wide open. Dr Tillquist looked at the CT scan and saw the bowel obstruction and decided not to do surgery just yet. The obstruction resolved on its own and now I can schedule with Dr Tillquist the surgery I need to fix my bowel obstruction issues. It's hopefully going to be a scope procedure which I am so thankful for. Thank you Dr Tillquist for explaining the diagnosis to me!

Complete waste of time going to my appointment with him. He didn't have all the information for my case, and didn't provide any useful information for solving anything. Also was contradicting other professionals in his lack of assessment.

Zero stars. AKA The Englewood Butcher. He maimed my leg & ruined my life. No explanation about what the procedure would entail. I’d never had surgery like this before & did not fathom that an eraser-sized melanoma would result in my entire shin being disfigured. He is a sociopathic monster.

Maybe you'd do ok within his specialty (lap-band/bariatric) or something very simple; otherwise, go elsewhere and/or to a specialist. Bad communication with few explanations, unprepared, lacked sense of urgency, indecisive and seemed disinterested and going through the motions.

I had my appendix removed by Dr. Tillquist. He was a wonderful doctor and surgeon. No problems. Recovery was flawless. I'd highly recommend him to family or friends.

I was seen by Dr. Tillquist after an unrelated gyn. procedure during which my gallbladder appeared “abnormal.” Dr. Tillquist ordered an MRI before scheduling gallbladder removal. The MRI notes stated a problem within my liver which would have been further complicated had my gallbladder been removed. Thankfully, I sought out a 2nd opinion. The most upsetting part of my experience with Dr. Tillquist was that he failed to report my liver diagnosis & wanted to move forward with gallbladder removal.
