Awful visit! He did not answer my questions and the appointment was rushed! He was really condescending. I do not recommend this physician.
Do not trust this doctor.
Dr. Bartt is the BEST. He was the ONLY specialist who made the right diagnosis from the jump (2006) about the weakness in my right arm due to C4-5 compression. One neurosurgeon told me that I had ALS! Within 2 months of fusion & a plate at C4-5, I had full use of my arm again. TO THIS DAY, I have NO problems with my arm, thanks to Dr. Bartt's diagnosis and my neurosurgeon's expertise. I wish Dr. Bartt were still in Chicago. We miss him!
Be sure to do some research on your own before taking on Dr. Bartt's advice.
Horrible "neurologist". Very LAZY with his diagnosis. He does not want to put forth ANY effort into researching what is really going on. He spends maybe five minutes MAX with you.
Doctor Bartt accurately diagnosed compression of the C4-C5 nerve root as the cause of my inability to use my right arm. Several other neurosurgeons dismissed compression, as it was not visible on the MRI; one neurosurgeon even told me that I had ALS! Finally, we found a GREAT Neurosurgeon, Dr. Harel Deutsch, who did the c-spine surgery. Today, I have full use of my right arm. Doctor Bartt is the BEST. He is also personable, with a great sense of humor, and very compassionate. Thank you, Doctor Bartt.
The wait time isn't Dr. Bartt's fault. I see him at Cook County/Stroger. He is fantastic!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
