Severe bone bruising MCL, ACL and torn meniscus injury. Surgery to repair ACL and meniscus. MCL was 4th degree (complete tear) and he refused to fix it stating the 2 ends would find each other and heal itself. 7 years post surgery, All along had an unstable medial slippage occasionally when I round the corner walking from on room to another. Also full extention was risky, as it felt like my knee could "go out" at any time if I was not careful, I walk, bike, stretch and use ankle weights for strengthening and yardwork, mowing gardening etc. I am healthy. Recently an "occurance" developed (from stretching and bicycling) disallowing my ability to fully extend my knee with severe instability, and have resorted to my knee brace for stability. I am now looking at finding a new Dr. to look into what is going on. Bottom line, I don't think he cared enough and wasn't thorough. Also walked out during consultation and indicated he had other patients to see as if my concerns weren't important.
A waste of time and money. Very condescending. Had to have a second opinion because he was so awful. Second doctor did not agree with anything he said.
Knee replacement surgery went well. He explained the surgery and aftermath well. Great staff and support for me. Doing well at 6 months.
Not interested in troubleshooting complications . Very successful relationship in three previous surgeries but recent knee replacement done January 2019developed complications and little to no help in addressing those issues even after repeated calls indicating inability to stand without pain Office staff unprofessional at times Office visits often “fly by “ in nature If you’re traveling any distance you’re better off staying home
Dr. Beard performed emergency surgery on my son after a high school football game 11 years ago. He had to insert hardware into his broken leg just below the kneecap and told us he may need it removed later due to the necessary placement. My son went on to play 4 years of college baseball, is still extremely athletic and has never needed it removed. I trusted Dr. Beard with my total knee replacement 10 days ago and I am doing amazing. I now regret not having it done sooner. He is so professional and in my mind, works miracles. My new knee feels and works perfect. I am extremely impressed!
My visit with dr. Beard was unfortunate, unpleasant, a waste of time, a waste of insurance coverage, and a waste of my money. He was dismissive, short, and condescending. I would absolutely not refer anyone that I know to him and would actually make the effort to direct them elsewhere.
Dr. Beard has been very professional and helpful with my knee replacement. I have 100% confidence in his ability as a physician.
My mother got surgery on her knee from Dr Beard. He put in a mans kneecap. It was large, it hurt, he told her she needed to lose weight. After 2-3 years of pain, she got a second opinion, she also had her knee re-done. And her other knee done as well as her hip because she had walked with the wrong kneecap for so long it damaged her further. She still suffers and the scar where his surgery was done is huge compared to the person who corrected his mistakes.
I met with Dr. Beard for a problematic shoulder. He was friendly, listened to me, looked at my M.R.I and explained what he was seeing. He then gave me several options to try. We made a plan, made sure I felt comfortable with that plan, and explained anything I was unsure of.I felt totally at ease the day of surgery, Having a Doctor listen, explain all,and leave the choice to me was very refreshing. I would recommend Dr. Beard in a heart beat.
I would indeed recommend Dr. Beard! He did an excellent surgery on my right knee.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
