List of Village Medical's Reviews
My experience with the staff was great but the call center leaves a lot to be desired. Very difficult to get through.
Dr. Schrunk is always great. Listens thoroughly, gives excellent medical advice and follow up.
quick and expert service. Emily Garban and her assistant Anna are competent and thorough. very friendly place. good good good.!
Dr Prows is someone you don't always see in Medicine. He really cares about his patients. Good guy and a good Doctor.
My review is for Assoc Fam Med West (aka Village Med) & Dr. Emily Garban. Information appeared in my records following an annual visit with my former primary, Dr. Emily Garban, indicating we had discussed it. To the contrary, not only had we never discussed the horribly stigmatizing information, it was completely inaccurate. In addition, I subsequently found other things in my file that were wrong. I first thought Dr. Garban had egregiously entered wrong info. Subsequently, I learned the issue was possibly with the UCHealth Epic Records system Assoc Fam Med used before becoming Village Med. Another private practice provider intervened on my behalf and talked with Dr. Garban, who agreed it was incorrect & claimed she was unaware it was part of her notes (perhaps Garban should READ her notes!) We have since learned from several other physicians they are very aware of other cases where the UCHealth Epic system has incorrectly pulled or populated certain info, even if verified wrong. The situation caused me extreme stress and humiliation over many months. Worse, though Dr. Garban contacted me after my other provider contacted her, seemed committed to getting the info corrected, stated she agreed it was completely incorrect & did not realize it was even inserted into her appt notes, & recommended meeting in an extended visit for the purpose of correcting everything, this proved to be an empty promise. As agreed, the medical professional who had spoken with Dr. Garban about this accompanied me to the scheduled appointment to clarify the corrections. This professional had rearranged their scheduled to accommodate Dr. Garban's schedule. Two days prior to the appt., Garban's office suddenly changed the appt. time. I called reminding them another medical provider was coming, Garban had encouraged this appointment, & changing the time on short notice was not possible. Garban's office agreed to accommodate us. When we arrived we were assured Garban was on schedule. However, Garban stood us up--including the medical provider who was with me--without even the courtesy to come to the waiting room to apologize for it or explain. Instead, a front desk receptionist suddenly told us we would have to reschedule! For Garban to have asked me to make this extended appointment knowing another doctor was to be with me, and to treat not only me but another medical professional so discourteously and disrespectfully is unethical and unprofessional at its worst. The provider, who rescheduled their own patients to attend this appointment with me, expressed complete disgust at not only Garban but the Fam Med practice as well, stating they were totally inappropriate. Thankfully I am now with a new provider NOT part of Assoc Fam Med/Village Med, and NOT part of any practice using the UCHealth Epic records system. I encourage everyone to KNOW what is in your medical records! Look at your online files--go back in the history and see what is there. This horrific situation should never have happened to me or to anyone else.
Dr. Prows is my husband’s physician. My husband is 84 and doesn’t care much for doctors. But we are quite happy with Dr. Prows.
Always great friendly never sit to long waiting for appointment
I'm very thankful to have found my doc who treats me either empathy. Amazing doc
Great care and providers
Very happy with Dr Joseph Prows. He actually cares about my health. Very easy to talk with. I don't like having to be on hold for 15 to 30 minutes trying to speak with someone. Thank you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
