Village Medical's Online Review Report Card

The Village Medical staff really do care.

There is so much to say here. First off the doctors are great. I am not writing a bad review about them at all. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many of them and they have all been kind, considerate individuals with amazing medical knowledge that has helped me a million and ten times over, and for that I am truly grateful. The part that deserves 1 star or even no stars is the regrettable decision associates in family medicine decided to make by joining with village medical. Their values have changed immensely once this was put into place. I couldn’t get in to see my family doctor, she was always at least 6-8 months booked out. And whenever I could get in with her I could tell she was being forced to just push her patients through. I felt like she was very over worked and underpaid for the amount of things she most likely had to deal with as a medical professional who got into this job to help people and now obviously cannot spend adequate time with patients to really help them like she could and should be able to. If I had to guess village medical increased the amount of patients they had to see in a day and shortened the allotted time they had to spend with patients. So no I don’t and wouldn’t ever blame the doctor for this. Also, their wait time on the phones have been a nightmare and a half. Since the switch to village medical I have had to spend an average of 20 minutes on hold each time. And by that time their phone system just hangs up on you so you have to keep calling back to get someone and hold again for another 15-20mins. Another issue- gone are the days you could see your primary doctor for a cold/flu/or illness of any sort on a whim. No, that’s what the urgent cares are for now. But if you need a doctors note to return to work after an ER visit you will not be able to see your primary doctor and you will also not be allowed to get one from an urgent care. I get it that healthcare is short staffed everywhere. But to be honest this company going from physician owned to now corporate is what’s wrong with it and it was a horrible move on their part.

Everyone, from receptionist to clinical staff, was friendly and welcoming. No one tried to rush me; everyone was very thorough with my history and questions. I was very pleasantly surprised and happy with my appointment.

Prompt. Caring and giving fabulous care

Docs are good but omg their transition to Village Medical is a complete disaster! 30 minutes on hold because the doc forgot to send in a script you just discussed at an appointment, lack of appointment availability, long wait times, the absolutely crappiest patient portal I’ve ever used! Look on social media Village Medical-all of your patients are considering leaving because you’ve gone done the toilet so far we can’t stand it!! And when we call your office managers to complain, they are condescending and don’t care at all! Shape up before you have no patients. I’m sure some of the docs care but your management sure doesn’t!

The new system has been awful. Bigger isn't better. Wait times haven't been less than 45 minutes and they could care less. Seeking a new primary sadly after 25 years. Not worth jumping through all the hoops anymore.
