List of Ayoola Folahan's Reviews
Dr. Ayoola was very attentive and thorough. He answered all questions and made sure to explain all options
Waited 30 minutes past my appointment time because he was late getting back from lunch. Then Dr. Ayoola tried to talk me into a different procedure saying that I could have a revision if the first surgery didn’t give the results I wanted. Why go through two surgeries?? More money for him is why! His staff was rude and acted like I was an inconvenience to them. One woman who went over my insurance coverage insisted on one requirement I knew was wrong. I had previously spoke with my insurance so I knew better. When I pointed that out, she said she knew her damn job. That was the final straw. I left and chose another doctor and couldn’t be happier.
The MD is great, the Staff is the downfall. Unfortunately you must interact with the staff more than the MD
Dr. Ayoola was so friendly and nice and explained everything so well. He took all the fear out of my visit.
Dr. Ayoola performed a surgery on my daughter that cost her life. In spite of months of her begging and pleading for his help, she was accused of busting the diet and not taking the vitamins that he sold in his office. Once she went into 100% septic shock, she lost consciousness, he ventilated her, he said she’d only be asleep for a few days, when she didn’t wake up, he admitted in the patient waiting room in a room full of people that he had failed to look in her lower intestine for the knick that he’d made to her lower intestine. One test would have prevented her ultimate death. I beg that every patient that is considering this surgery, please, please, think again, or contact me.
He was very thorough and personable. I love his passion.
Dr Ayoola was exceptionally thorough and easy to talk to. He explained the different treatments in details in a way that I could understand. He answered all my questions and I had many, I felt very comfortable and confident that I was in good hands.I previously had the gastric bypass in 2009, lost about 160lbs then life happened and knocked me out for a couple of years so I ended up putting on about 90lbs. I've tried all the diets but I go up and down.Dr Ayoola advised me that the DS was the best surgery for me and I'm happy with that.Unfortunately my insurance has me jumping through hoops, so I need to see a dietician for 6 months, psych eval etc before having the surgery but I'm in for the long haul.I was very skeptical about going for my consultation with Dr Ayoola but I'm happy I did. Thank you Dr Ayoola for giving me hope!

Found his office to be like family. Dr. Ayoola’s bedside manner is the best and he is very thorough with everything.
Dr. Ayoola is an incredible doctor. He devotes time to you as a patient and understands the struggle. However... His office staff is lacking in their customer service abilities. They also need to learn when to hustle and how to call people back. The office staff could not tell the difference between left and right every single time I contacted them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
