List of Dennis H. Goldsberry Md's Reviews
Dr. Goldsberry is always available for us when we have an eye emergency. Thank you so much for taking care of our patients!
Efficient, accommodating, patient comes first. Trust his judgement. Assistant is excellent also.
I go to Dr Goldsberry and so does my father-in-law (85 years old) and we are satisfied! The doctor and staff listen and care. No matter seemed to small or too big, when I or Dad asked questions. I highly recommend this doctor!
I really liked Dr. Goldsberry, he was very nice and professional. However I was frustrated at how his office billed my visit. I went in for a routine yearly eye exam expecting it to be billed to my vision insurance but they ended up billing it to my medical insurance, which didn’t cover anything. When I questioned why they billed it medical, they said it was because I have dry eyes, which is a “medical condition”. This honestly makes no sense to me because the doctor didn’t do anything to treat my dry eyes nor did he do anything additional other than a routine yearly exam. So now I have to pay a big bill out of pocket because it was billed medical even though I have vision insurance that would have covered the exam in full. I called and spoke to someone in his office about this but they were unwilling to change this or help me get this resolved in anyway. I feel like they definitely don’t act in the best interest of the patient or else why would they bill a routine exam as medical when the patient has vision insurance that would cover the visit completely. I’ve gone to optometrists for over 10 years and none of them have ever filed anything with my medical insurance. I don’t know if his office bills more things medical because he is an ophthalmologist.. but judging by the other comments on here I’m not the only person this has happened to. They definitely don’t seem to act in the best interest of the patient in terms of billing. One could assume it’s because their office benefits more/makes more when things are billed as medical, but that’s just an assumption on my part. Regardless it was a frustrating experience and I won’t be going back if they’re always going to file it against my medical insurance.
Great experience. The staff was lovely and Dr. Goldsberry was very amicable. I went in for a routine eye evaluation and Dr. Goldsberry and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that I was well taken care of.
He saw me spur of the moment and stayed late to let me in.
I recommend to stay away from this place. I went to the dr for regular eye checkup. Something alarmed me when the receptionist asked for my medical insurance card, even though I already gave my vision care insurance plan to them. They said it is policy to have medical Insurance card on file, even for regular checkup just in case. She also promised that they would not claim medical insurance without telling me. During visit, the dr said everything is great after checking my eyes and that I may have little near vision and he can prescribe glasses only if I want one. Without me saying anything dr asked that if I still have allergy eye itch that I went to him for 5 years ago. I said that I no longer have that issue. When I checked out they also did not tell me anything about claiming medical insurance. 3 weeks later... I got a bill for copay from my medical insurance company. I noticed that they charged a significant amount to insurance.when I called the practice, the front office and his assistant said that my visit was categorized as visit due to allergic reaction and that is why they charged to medical insurance. I asked to talk to dr and nurse rudely told me that the dr will call back... which he never did. Dr seemed very nice and knowledgeable. However, the office support staff and billing process really is a mess, if not dishonest. Also, if you are going there, make sure to keep enough time in hand as you will have to spend 45 mins - 1 hr after your visit talking to the eye glasses store attached to the practice. There is no way around it as only exit is through the eye glasses store.
Good experience with both Dr. Goldsberry and his staff.
I highly recommend Dr. Goldsberry. Good experience recently with both the doctor and his staff.
I went to Dr. Goldsberry about a year ago. He told me I needed cataract surgery, so we scheduled it. A few days after the surgery the doctor saw that my eyesight was not better and probably worse. He did nothing. My next appointment was 37 days later and my eyesight was still worse, but the doctor did nothing. Just recently, after waiting almost a year after the cataract surgery, I made an appointment with Dr. Goldsberry to discuss my condition. I showed up to my appointment as scheduled, but the woman at the desk told me that I needed a “referral” to see the doctor. I am 87 years old, so getting to the doctor’s office is not easy. When I got home I read my insurance ID card and it said “NO REFERRAL REQUIRED.” So here is my review: after Dr. Goldberry performed cataract surgery on me, a year later my eyesight is worse. I want to discuss this with the doctor, but the doctor and his receptionist are actively avoiding any follow-up consultation. I cannot recommend Dr. Goldsberry.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
