Peak One Surgery Center's Online Review Report Card

I arrived at Peak One Surgery Center at 8:30 am as directed. I had not drank or eaten anything since the night before as directed. I am 68 years old and was there because I broke my wrist 2 day before and needed surgery, so I was not at my best and in some pain. They left me in a crowded waiting room for over two hours!! When I finally told them I was going to leave they said they would take me back so I could lie down. My blood pressure was extremely high by that time. My surgery took 30 minutes with no complications but I was there for over 6 hours! They had many excuses but basically they will keep patients waiting to maximize profits. The nurses are kind but I will not go back there.

Rip off artists who try to charge you for service before you even get it or get a solid schedule time. They harass you. Send multiple text messages, emails and phone calls before your appointment. Trying to get me to pay $380 before I've ever stepped foot in the office!!!! It's relentless and extremely annoying. If I was retired, and loosing my memory' and Situation Awareness, like lots of retirement residents around here, that might be ok. But I it's clear, They just want your money. Vampires! They care NOTHING about You. I Still don't know what my procedure is, what it entails, or what time I'm even supposed to be there!!!( it's less than 14 hours away), yet The office called me and tells me what to do.....but the doctors office says something else. NO ONE SHOULD BE TRUSTED HERE! I haven't even walked in the door yet people......!!!!

Money hungry and unorganized facility. I agreed to their payment plan and paid all bills on time yet they still sent my bill to debt collections, even just one week after I paid them $800. They also threatened to cancel my surgery unless I paid over $2,000 before surgery even with insurance. Also my nurse cut herself multiple times. They also had wrong medical information about me even though I entered my medical information correctly. They thought I was a heavy smoker and didn’t realize I didn’t even smoke until I was in the operating room. I prefer the Steadman clinic but wasn’t able to go there this time for the particular procedure that I was having.

I had a great experience, despite being there for surgery. The nurses were amazing. Heather, who was with me when I first got there realized I was nervous and talked me though it. There was another nurse with long curly hair who also made sure I was comfortable before I went in for surgery. I want to thank them all for making my experience as good as possible. I really appreciated it!

There is a very rude employee named Tamara Hearst working here. I had a voicemail saying I had a surgery here back in May and had outstanding balances due and when I called back simply wanting to clarify if I was the right person or which of my insurances was billed for a surgery I've never received, she rudely cut me off and said it was taken care of. Naturally, I wanted to know how or why my insurance was billed for something I've never received and when I asked for clarification, Tamara rudely cut me off and YELLED that it had been taken care of without as much as an apology for mistaking me for somebody else or reassuring me that my insurance wasn't billed for something I never had done and rudely hung up on me mid question about how my insurance was compromised. I work in customer service with confidential information as well and I must say she was absolutely horrible and could've handled the situation MUCH better and at the least heard me out rather than yell at me after concerning me about my own insurance. Not only rude but inept to top it off. Bet she thought I wouldn't find out where she works and put in a complaint but your employer has to know little miss ray of sunshine.

I was referred to the Peak One Surgery Center by the Steadman Clinic as it is closer to my home and I was very impressed by the professionalism before my procedure, the attentiveness upon arrival and the entire process. It is clean, neat, and Dr. Ross Dickstein and his staff are top notch. I left feeling much better and would return there for any future procedures that were within their specialty. My husband was kept informed, the waiting room has wi-fi and a tv and couches and is full of natural light to provide a pleasant experience. It is definitely in my tops in terms of Surgery Centers.
