List of Jeffrey Thornton Md's Reviews
I'm currently being treated by Dr. Thornton and have been for the past 2yrs for a concussion I suffered. He and his staff are awesome! Together we have made progress. He always has my best interest. Tremendous asset, great to have him here in Glenwood.
I waited 6 months for an appointment with Dr. Thornton to address seizures I started having. It was absolutely worth the wait. He is the kindest, sweetest doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and I work in the medical field. He is very helpful and wants the very best for his patients. Highly recommend Dr. Thornton.
A very pleasant guy. He promised to get to the bottom of my illness. After initial test results came back, he lost all interest. (He literally walked backwards out of the room, saying, "You're perfectly fine! Good luck", as I tried to show him the abnormal parts of my MRI - it was like a scene from a cartoon or comedy show.)
Dr. Thornton is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. He ran tests and correctly diagnosed me. He has been my doctor for many years. I would absolutely recommend him.
I had a new patient appointment late in the afternoon. He had a personal thing come up that he had to take care of and instead of rushing through my appointment, he offered to reschedule or come back in about 1/2 an hour so that he could take the time to listen to me. I never feel listened to by doctors, but Dr Thornton was fantastic. He really took the time to hear my concerns and work with me to find the best solution personalized for me.
I did not have a visit with Dr. Thorton and have never been a patient of his. However, he happened to be the doctor on-call when I needed help for my husband. It was a Sunday night (KC Chiefs were in the playoffs) and my husband was traveling for work. My husband accidentally placed his prescription medication in his checked luggage—which did not arrive at the destination airport my husband was flying to. Dr. Thorton was very helpful and understanding of our situation. He was not bothered or annoyed that he got called on a Sunday night, instead he was kind, respectful, and compassionate (even though my husband was not even his patient). This encounter alone speaks volumes of his bedside manner and quality of patient care. Thank you for your help, Dr. Thorton!
I will surely miss you dr Thornton, best of wishes in your new endevers.
Thoughtful, unrushed and really listens to you.
For three years I searched for a doctor who could help me with a nerve pain in my upper back. No one could tell me what it was. On my first visit, Dr. Thornton told me that no matter what we would find out what the pain was and fix it. He identified the problem in my first visit ...... periferal neuropathy. It is an unusual first place to experience diabet neuropathy. He prescribed the right drug and the pain was gone within two weeks. It has never returned. Dr. Thornton is kind and caring.
I started going to Dr. Thornton in 2016. At the time he was great. His nurse was great and then he got a new nurse named Jamie. She’s rude, won’t return calls and was that way for over a year. Some of his staff including his office manager is horrible. I was told by Dr. Thornton himself, he’s only a small town doctor. After not agreeing with his worthless staff, I was told he could no longer help me. Patient care is not a priority for him. It’s too bad because I truly believed in him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
