I was a trauma patient of Dr. Rowland after breaking my elbow and ankle. He did a good job with my elbow and had a very nice and reassuring demeanor. Unfortunately, he did not do a good job with my ankle and now my fibula bone has healed crooked and causes me pain daily. Every doctor I have seen for follow up has said that better care should have been taken - instead of using a long screw designated for hips, my ankle should have been aligned with small screws and a plate. The screw was not fully flush with my bone either so the head was hurting my ligaments with every step and you could see it protruding through the skin. Thankfully, my follow up surgeon was able to get it out in one piece which he thought would be impossible since it was so long and bent. Today, I feel much better with the hip screw out of my ankle but I still have pain from the bone being crooked and its a shame because it feels like all of this could have been avoided if the proper hardware was used.

Dr Rowland was able to quickly evaluate the fracture and move quickly toward the pinning and casting process. He has been very good with follow up procedures. I would say he is an excellent hand surgeon.

Though I wasn't sure that Dr. Rowland was the right physician to see my case (ulnar nerve pain), he was very professional and took a real interest. After reviewing, he confirmed my feelings that I needed to move on to see a spinal surgeon.

Dr Rowland performed triggerthumb release surgery on both of my thumbs at once. I didn’t even have to go under anesthesia, I was in the operating room for no more than 30 minutes and the surgery was perfect. I only took ibuprofen for the first day or two. If you’re looking forward to having surgery performed by Dr Rowland rear easy because you’re in good hands. Oh and he also has a great taste in music. Rock on Doctor Rowland

I was very impressed with the facility and had been there before for some out patient surgery. I was very impressed with Dr Rowland. He was great at explaining my condition which is dupuytren's contracture. He explained my options and the prognosis for both very well. After his discussion and asked him a few questions and then asked for his recommendations. I had come to the conclusion that surgery was the best option but I wanted his expert opinion and he did state he felt I was an excellent candidate and he explained in detail how he could fix my condition for life with one surgery. This was reassuring and I agreed to surgery and am very confident in his abilities. He was highly recommended by a surgery nurse friend and his recommendation also confirmed my decision. The results of my surgery are good and the rehab process is a long process. I am pleased with the results so far and need to continue with my rehab to get full recovery of my hand use. Very pleased with the results so far and very pleased with Dr Rowland’s work!
