List of James Johnson's Reviews
Dr Johnson was highly recommended so I’m optimistic about his care. However my first and only appointment with him was a disappointment because he was 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Without an apology, I feel that is pretty outrageous. Any further appointments will be the first of the day if possible. One of his patients in the waiting room told me that Dr Johnson is always behind, why is that?
Dr. Johnson's knowledge and expertise. Reviewed the problems, explained options and answered all questions thoroughly and in language I understood. Just a great doctor.
Dr. Johnson was an excellent listener and gave me detailed info on what he as going to be done in replacing my shoulder and subsequent post surgery care. The outcome is excellent and I’m doing great with no pain .
Great experience
I had Dr. Johnson do an ACL repair about 5 years ago. I have since retorn that ACL, and the other. I am obviously responsible for my own recovery and strengthening but after having experiences with another surgeon I realize that Dr. Johnson did not give me the level of care and attention I deserved. My first visit, I waited upwards of an hour for him to come spend 5 minutes telling me nothing was wrong with my knee and implying that I was just seeking drugs. After going elsewhere and getting an MRI, I went back to Dr. Johnson because I believed he was a good surgeon. Once he saw my MRI, he scheduled me for surgery, again during a very brief visit. At no point did I feel that I was seen as a priority because I am not a sports player or skier, though I am active and need an ACL to live my life fully. I always felt dismissed due to my appearance and lack of athletic sports experience. Upon tearing my other ACL and getting MRIs of both knees, I realized I retore the original one at some point. My new surgeon said that the tunnel drilled by Dr. Johnson was not at a good angle and he was unsurprised that it failed. I don't entirely blame Dr. Johnson for the failure of my graft but I do believe that I should have received better care and not been made to feel like I deserved less care and was less important than somebody who was maybe a professional sports player.
It was actually an amazing experience. The best hospital and surgery experience I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful for the advancements in medical science and it’s care givers
The results were great. He was knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on.
THE SPECIAL CARE I RECEIVED--SURGERY WENT VERY WELL AND RECOVERY IS PROGRESSING AT A STEADY RATE
I had irreparable tears in both my supraspinatus and infraspinatus, as well as a biceps tendon tear and a damaged subcapularis. Dr. Johnson was very positive in our pre-op meeting. Post-surgery pain level was minimal, making it possible for me to stop all pain meds on the third day post-op, and have no pain since. Despite the difficulty presented by my shoulder damage, Dr. Johnson completed a total reverse shoulder replacement that has me hopeful for a full recovery. I cannot say enough about how positive I feel about Dr. Johnson.
Dr. Johnson was caring, thorough and genuinely interested in my physical and mental well being. Those things are so important when contemplating surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
