Katie Goldhair's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr.Litoff on 2/7/2023 for my annual eye exam. I had him look at a growth that I had previously had taken off a few months prior that was coming back to see if they could remove it so I wouldn't have to go back downtown to the specialist and since it was so small. He said he was have their surgeon remove it but if it came back again I would have to go back to the specialist as I may need a biopsy done on it. He came to the receptionist desk and told them to make the appoint. At that time I didn't even know the doctors name he was making an appointment with for me. The appointment was 3/1/2023 at 10:15 am-I don't usually do morning appointment as I live 50 miles away and have horses and dogs to feed in the AM but they said she only does AM appointment so I made the exception. I get there and I have an issue with with prior appointment as it was an annual eye exam and they chanrged me a co-pay and there is no co-pay for that so I tld them to apply that co-pay to this appointment- This is a whole other issue which I am having theinsurance address as they billed it out as a medical appointment insteead of they annal eye exam (I think they get paid more for a mediacl exam than an annual eye) anyway I endedup having to pay the co-pay and I will let the insurance deal with their billing fraud. So after paying I went and sat down waiting to be taken back. After waiting for 10 minutes or so they call me back up and tell me she doesn't to this type of surgery. I said one of YOUR doctors made this appoinment with her, you mean to tell me that the other doctors that work her don't know what she does. At this point she came waltzing out and announced that she was the surgeon. Her entire attitude was very condescending and impatient, as if she just didn't have the time to waste on me. I said so you bascially wasted my time. And very arrogantly said "yes, you have wasted your time". Without any consideration that my time is valuable-more so than hers and the 1/4 tank of gas I used along with the 2 hour drive. In my opinion this is someone that is very full of herself. The prior doctor told me I have cataracts that will need to be removed in a couple of years-THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD LET THIS INDIVIDUAL TOUCH ME LET ALONE DO SURGERY ON ME. I wouldn't let her do surgery on a stuffed doll let alone anything alive. BEWARE!!!

Fit me in for emergency eye problem, liked so much go to routine eye exams permanently. Nice to see a surgeon with great credentials, fixed my eyes, attended to my needs. Nice office, great helpful staff, prompt return calls and answers all questions. Hard to find quality ophthalmologist like her in Golden/Lakewood.

I went to see Dr. Goldhair for a second opinion on a condition with my eyes' optic nerve in November 2021. - Very long wait time - over 40 minutes. What's worse was that nobody in the doctor office cared enough to provide me with any explanation for the long wait – as if that’s very normal for them. - During the examination, Dr. Goldhair was very condescending, pushy and inpatient. She did a quick check of my eyes, but didn't even bother to dilate my eyes during the examination. I have never seen an ophthalmologist would examine a patient's optic never without even dilate the patient's eyes. That's careless and irresponsible. - Later, I called Dr. Goldhair for an explanation on why she decided to examine my optic nerve without even dilating my eyes. Dr. Goldhair was not happy about the question and became very rude: she simply told me that she was not required to dilate my eyes, if I am not satisfied with her service, I should find another doctor, and then hung up the phone.

During our conversation, she was very condescending, pushy and inpatient. She did a quick check of my eyes, but didn't even bother to dilate my eyes during the examination. I have never seen an ophthalmologist would examine a patient's optic never without even dilate the patient's eyes, so I asked her why. She said she would dilate my eyes when I visit her next time. That sounded careless and irresponsible. - Later, I called and asked Dr. Goldhair for an explanation on why she decided to examine my optic nerve without even dilating my eyes. That's a very reasonable question, but Dr. Goldhair was not happy about the question and became very rude: she simply told me that she was not required to dilate my eyes, if I am not satisfied with her service, I should find another doctor, and then hung up the phone. Afterwards, I felt I should write a review regarding my unpleasant experience with Dr. Goldhair. In my opinion, Dr. Goldhair was very unprofessional and unethical to treat her patient in such inappropriate manners.

Everyone at the office was fabulous! I found out things about my eyes that no one ever told me about. I have a small cyst in my eye. The young man who took my information was fabulous! Dr. Goldhair was super nice and informative. I finally understand my condition! I am so happy I found them!

She was very dismissive.

Dr. Goldhair is an exceptional eye surgeon, personable and knowledgeable. The office staff in Golden is friendly, efficient and caring. I won’t trust my peepers to anyone else!
