Dr. Murken’s personality is awesome! Very matter-of-fact, but energetic, and positive! He explains things thoroughly, and gives very understandable explanations of the medical aspects (that someone untrained otherwise might have a hard time understanding). He spent a long time in the room, to make sure we covered everything, and set realistic expectations. He left me trusting him implicitly.

Dr. Murken is courteous and listens to the issue you are having. Doesn't rush into decisions and gives you options and his recommendations.

Dr. Murken came highly recommended to me by a friend who had seriously broken her foot in several places. I found it easy to get an appointment and schedule a surgery that has repaired the tendon in my ankle. The staff was friendly and efficient, which added to the overall satisfaction of the whole process. Dr. Murken is down-to-earth, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, experienced and highly skilled. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a foot and ankle orthopedist that you can depend on.

Dr. Murken is not only knowledgeable, professional, and thorough, he is kind and informative. He explained my injury, the best treatment, and what to expect during recovery. My experience with him was stellar. It was my first surgery and I was anxious, but Dr. Murken demeanor and approach made me feel comfortable and garnered my trust. I left the appointment w/o seeing the doctor bc I sat in the waiting room for an hour after my appointment’s scheduled time. Kind of hilarious to ask people to show up 30 mins prior to their scheduled appointment and then not even be remotely close to holding up your side of being on time. The initials MD after your name doesn’t make your time any more valuable than the people PAYING to see you. Plus they still charged my co-pay for an appointment they didn’t keep and sent this survey asking how my visit went so all around “great” job of keeping up with things. Maybe do more communicating than just writing on a dry erase board that the doctors late or stop packing his schedule he clearly can’t keep up with if he can’t provide the same level of adequate service to every patient.

The doctors are good. They provide really good care. But the wait to be seen is always over an hour, and getting an appointment is always difficult, so if you want timely care, this is not the place.
