Dr. Vanderheiden has guided my spine care and evaluation for the past 11 months. His examination of all aspects of my mobility limitations has led to options and alternative spine care with improved outcomes. His explanations are always complete and comprehensive as well as providing exceptional care and follow-up. I highly recommend him to anyone with spine issues.

Great doctor good staff. Took care of all my worries and concerns in one visit because they can do everything on site. It helps the doctor V is very personable and easy to talk to, he took the time to explain everything in detail to me.

WOW! I used to worry about surgery. I was so resistant. I caved in and started seeing the Dr.'s at Panorama Orthopedics. I've now had several surgeries here and I can honestly say that coming here is the best thing ever I did! Dr. VanderHeiden performed my Anterior/Posterior Spinal Fusion and my lumbar spine hasn't felt this good in many years! I wish I had done it a long time ago! love Dr VanderHeiden and his assistant, Avan, and appreciate them so much! Thank you!!!

I’m a grateful patient who has been suffering from debilitating back pain since 2020. After several years of injections and PT that never provided much sought after relief, I finally sought out Dr VanderHeiden. I chose him because of his reputation amongst many of the doctors and nurses I work along side. It seemed everyone who knew or worked with him had only praise! Not only for his skill as a surgeon but his bedside manner as well. From first hand experience I can attest to his incredible skill which resulted in me being free from excruciating daily nerve pain, but also to his bedside candor. He mitigated both my and my wife’s fears and inspired nothing but confidence in him and his team. My surgery was completed at OrthoColorado and the entire staff there were incredibly nice and skilled at their profession. My post op visit with Aaron PA. was incredibly helpful! I was grateful he went over images and overall plan to get back to my previous lifestyle. The office staff was truly incredible and amazingly patient with me during my insurance debacle. I feel indebted to the whole staff for getting me back to a life worth living! I cannot recommend him more and will continue to refer anyone with back symptoms to him for his evaluation.

I cannot recommend Dr. VanderHeiden enough. After 20+ years of pain, I can finally say I’m pretty much pain free. Dr VanderHeiden performed a ALIF surgery on my L5-S1. For years I couldn’t stand for more than 5 minutes without excruciating pain. I would be brought to tears on the mornings that I wanted to get up and cook breakfast for my children, all because of the pain. I remember the nerve pain getting so excruciating that out in Public I would yelp loudly because of the sciatic nerve pain, it was humiliating. My only regret during this experience has been that I didn’t have the surgery done earlier. I’ve worked in the medical field, and I can tell you that I have never seen a surgical staff as prepared, kind and knowledgeable as him and his staff. I know a lot of people can tell you a lot of horror stories about spinal surgery and what went wrong with someone they knew, but it has dramatically changed my life for the better and that’s all because of Dr VanderHeiden. I was even lucky enough to complete the manitou incline on my birthday. Something I wanted to do for years, but knew I couldn’t because of my previous back pain. If you’re on the fence and not sure if you should book the appointment, just do it because you’ll never realize how miserable it is to be in pain all the time, until it’s finally gone.
